  Rolls for rolling mills.

The roll necks of the rolling mills are usually made of one piece with the barrel of the roll, thus from the same material! e. However, the pins would be desirable because of the bearing made of more wear-resistant material. The pins, which are cast in one piece with the roller, also frequently break off and have to, especially on cast iron rollers
 EMI1.1
   Connection point arise.

This drawback is remedied by the fact that the tenons are made of higher materials
Strength can be produced separately. So far, such pins have been made in roll balls
Screwing in or shrinking attached, but with this type of attachment, the pins loosen due to a lack of mounting tension.

According to the present invention, the pins are fitted smoothly into the roll barrel and the fastening is effected by axial anchors which, due to their length, simultaneously produce a resilient and permanent mounting tension.

The subject of the invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment in the drawing.

In the roll barrel a, the pins b are inserted separately so that the ball a and the pin b can be made from different materials, e.g. B. the barrel made of cast iron and the pin made of forged steel. It can be the dismantled pin z. B. can be tempered or hardened without the entire roller having to take part in the heat treatment process, so that no hard stress can arise in the same.

The two pins b are pressed into the roller in the axial direction by one or more anchors c, with which the required mounting tension e is aimed
Anchor ends are riveted, screwed at d. Shrinkage or the like closed.

The pins b are fitted conically or cylindrically into the ball a. For better pressure transmission, a sleeve e can be poured into the roller ball a.

PATENT CLAIMS: 1. Rolls for rolling mill, characterized in that the separately manufactured
Pins (b) are braced against one another in the roll barrel (a) by axial anchors (e).
