Verfahren zur Gewinnung von Alkalisalzen aus den Rückständen der Raffination von
Schlempekohle und gleichartigen Produkten.
Bei der Raffination von Schlempekohle und gleichartigen Produkten auf Pottasche und Kalisalze bleibt fein verteilte Kohle zurück, die bis zu zoo ihres Gewichtes an Salzen der Leichtalkalien durch Absorption festhält. Mit den derzeit verwendeten Verfahren, bei denen in alkalischen Lösungen gearbeitet wird, ist die Gewinnung dieses Salzrestes wegen des hohen Absorptionsvermögens unmöglich, das feinst verteilter Kohlenstoff in solchen Lösungen besitzt.
Das neue Verfahren sieht deshalb die Gewinnung dieses Salzrostes durch Arbeiten in entsprechend saurer Lösung vor, in der die absorbierende Kraft des fein verteilten Kohlenstoffes ausserordentlich stark herabgesetzt ist. Zu diesem Zweeke wird das Kohlealkalisalzgemenge, das bei dem üblichen Arbeiten in alkalischer Lösung als lästiges Abfallprodukt zurückbleibt, mit Säuren angesäuert, deren Wahl sich nach dem als Reaktionsprodukt erwünschten Salze richtet. Gegebenenfalls ist die für die weitere Verarbeitung der Salze nötige Menge Wassers oder eines anderen Verdünnungsmittels vorher, oder mit der Säure gleichzeitig, oder nachträglich zuzufügen. Die Wahl der Reaktionstemperaturen ist ebenfalls der weiteren Verarbeitung der Salze entsprechend zu treffon.
Hierauf wird die Salzlösung von der Kohle gesondert und bis zum gewünschten Grade raffiniert. Auch der Kohlenstoff, der als Nebenprodukt erhalten wird, kann durch Einwirkung neuer Säure- mengen bis zum gewünschten Reinheitsgrade raffiniert werden, wobei diese Säuremengen zweckmassig zum Raffinieren minder reinen Kohlenstoffes und schliesslich zum Ansauern von Kohlealkalisalzgemenge, also neuen Ausgangsmaterials. Verwendung finden können.

When refining still coal and similar products on potash and potash salts, finely divided coal remains, which holds up to zoo of its weight in salts of light alkalis through absorption. With the methods currently used, which work in alkaline solutions, the recovery of this salt residue is impossible because of the high absorption capacity that finely distributed carbon has in such solutions.
The new process therefore provides for the extraction of this salt grate by working in a correspondingly acidic solution in which the absorbing power of the finely divided carbon is extremely reduced. For this purpose the coal alkali salt mixture, which remains as a troublesome waste product when working in an alkaline solution, is acidified with acids, the choice of which depends on the salts desired as the reaction product. If necessary, the amount of water or another diluent required for further processing of the salts is to be added beforehand, or at the same time as the acid, or afterwards. The choice of reaction temperatures is also to be taken accordingly for the further processing of the salts.
The salt solution is then separated from the coal and refined to the desired degree. The carbon that is obtained as a by-product can also be refined to the desired degree of purity through the action of new amounts of acid, these amounts of acid being expedient for refining less pure carbon and finally for acidifying coal alkali salt mixtures, i.e. new starting material.
