Vorrlohtung to remove rust and Kosseleteld.
It is already known to use cleaning devices which consist of a rapidly rotating shaft on which chains consisting of elongated links are fastened, the ends of which are equipped with blowers which, as the shaft rotates, process objects that are rusted or scale are to be freed. These elongated chain links are, however, exposed to considerable wear at the joints or joints and the present invention aims to remedy this disadvantage. Another purpose of the invention is to improve the impact body and also to facilitate the use of the device in confined spaces.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the chain links are circular or almost circular, so that they can rotate against each other unhindered during use and can therefore rest against each other at different points along their entire circumference. This greatly reduces the wear and tear.
In the drawing, two embodiments of the device are shown, namely Fig. 1 shows the main parts of the device with the shaft in cross section and the chains and impact bodies in the working position. 2 and 3 are two somewhat different embodiments of the entire device. Figure 4 is a schematic representation of the apparatus in use in a steam boiler between the boilers! wall and a bolt.
The shaft 1 of the device is provided with through bores into which split pins 2 are inserted, the ends of which are provided with eyelets and which carry short chains consisting of circular or almost circular links 3, in the outer end links of which the impact bodies 4 are suspended. The latter have a conical shape and are attached to the outermost chain link at the thin end by means of an eyelet 5. The wide end carries a sharpened edge 6, whereby a powerful effect of the impact body on the object to be cleaned is achieved.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the shaft 1 is directly coupled to the shaft of an electric motor 7 provided with a handle 8.
The embodiment according to FIG. 3 is intended for use in hard-to-reach places, e.g. B. in the region of the tube bundle of a steam boiler, which requires a fairly large length of the shaft. In order to prevent the vibrations occurring with such a long shaft, it is advantageous to surround the shaft with a tube 9 that is rigidly fastened to the motor in a suitable manner. The shaft 1 can then be equipped with a universal joint 10 in the vicinity of the motor in order to protect the motor shaft from excessive vibrations.
Fig. 4 illustrates how the chains move in confined space, e.g. B. between the Dampfkosselwand 11 and an armature 12, partially wrap around the shaft and thereby automatically shorten its length.
PATENT CLAIMS:
