   Es ist ein Diaphragma mit einer   Querschnittsveränderung bekannt, durch welches :   sich die Konzentrationen der einerseits im   Diaphragma befindlichen und andererseits   der dessen Wandungen umgebenden   Elektrotytflüssigkeiten   in bestimmtem Masse ausgleichen können, und zwar in der Weise, dass die spezifisch leichtere Elektrolytflüssigkeit in grösserer Menge und schneller zu der spezifisch schwereren   Eletztrolytflüssigkeit   gelangen kann als umgekehrt. 



   Diese Wirkung wird durch vorliegende Erfindung in einfacher Weise erreicht und besteht diese darin, dass das Diaphragma in seinem oberen Teile eine geringere Dichtigkeit (also grössere   Durchlässigkeit)   besitzt.
