<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
zuführen und den auszuklinkenden Teil (sh. Fig. 3 unten) mit Hilfe einer Zange abzubrechen.
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

The invention relates to a weather protection rail with the features of the introductory part of independent claim 1.
A weather protection rail of this type is known from AT 394 614 B.
The invention has for its object to provide a weather protection rail for windows or doors, which is placed on the lower frame profile of the window or the door and a direct connection of a metal window sill without step-like interruptions or multiple gradations between the individual parts, especially when the weather protection rail combined with a window sill allowed.
According to the invention, this is achieved with the features of claim 1.
Preferred and advantageous embodiments of the weather protection rail according to the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
Further details, features and advantages of the weather protection rail according to the invention result from the following description of preferred exemplary embodiments with reference to the drawings. It shows: FIG. 1 a weather protection rail with a window sill, FIG. 2 the weather protection rail in the region of the lower frame profile part of a window or a door, FIG. 3 details of the weather protection rail from FIG. 2, FIG. 4 a cover profile, FIG. 5 another Embodiment of a cover profile, FIG. 6 a window sill holder, FIG. 7 a fastening strap for the window sill holder from FIG. 6, FIG. 8 a support strap for the window sill holder from FIG. 6 and FIG. 9 in section the cover profile of a window sill.
1 shows a weather protection rail 3 combined with an outside window sill 1 on a door or window 2.
The weather protection rail 3 is composed in the usual manner of a metal profile part 4 and an insulating web 5 made of plastic, the profile parts 4 and 5 being connected to one another by a snap-in and / or adhesive connection 6.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the weather protection rail 3 is fastened to the horizontal frame beam 8 of the window or door frame 10 by screws 7 passing through the insulating web 5. The weather protection rail 3 also has a contact surface 11 for a seal 12 on the wing 13 of the window or the
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Door 2.
A window sill holder 16 is fastened to the lower horizontal bar 8 of the window or door frame 10 by means of fastening tabs 15. The window sill holder 16 can be supported on support straps 17 on the masonry of a window parapet. A window sill profile 20 is snapped onto the window sill holder 16, the shape of the eaves edge 21 of the window sill 1 being matched to the necessary spring travel for clipping onto the window sill holder 16.
Details of the components shown in Fig. 1 will now be described with reference to the other figures.
The weather protection rail 3 shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 consists of the metal profile 4 and the insulating web 5, and is fastened to the lower horizontal frame bar 8 of a window or door frame 10 by means of the screws 7.
A receiving groove 25 for a cover profile 26 or 27 (FIG. 4, 5) is provided on the metal profile 4 of the weather protection rail 3 if the weather protection rail 3 is not combined with a window sill 1, as shown in FIG. 1. A special feature is that a notch 28 is provided in the groove base of the receiving groove 25 for the cover profile 26, 27, which gives the two profile webs 29, 30 the elastic properties required for clipping on a cover profile 26, 27.
Furthermore, longitudinal breaking points 31, 32 (FIG. 3) are provided in the metal profile 4 of the weather protection rail 3. The predetermined breaking point 31 in the upper part of the metal profile 4 serves to be able to easily remove the angled part 33 of the metal profile 4 which follows it (without making the required longitudinal cuts) when the weather protection rail 3 is used for a frame frame glazing (fixed glazing). The angled web 33, which is disruptive to the fixed glass area, can easily be broken off by using pliers or the like after two cross-sections, if necessary, which limit the part to be removed have been made, so that the glass pane of fixed glazing on the contact surface 34 of the metal profile 4 of the weather protection rail 3 can lie flat.
The second predetermined breaking point 32 serves to be able to produce notches 3 in the lower region of the weather protection rail, without the laborious and difficult longitudinal cuts being necessary. It is sufficient to make two saw cuts across the profile 4
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
feed and break off the part to be released (see Fig. 3 below) using pliers. This notching possibility is particularly advantageous if the notching is to be made in the middle of the metal profile 4. The longitudinal cut, which is particularly difficult for this notch shape, is then omitted.
4, the cover profile 26 is shown, which can cover the outer part of the lower horizontal frame beam 8. For this purpose, the cover profile 26 is cut to the appropriate length and clipped into the groove 25 in the metal profile 4 of the weather protection rail 5.
It is important that the width of the cover profile 26 or 27 (as indicated in FIG. 5) can be chosen to be as large as desired. For the secure fastening of the cover profile 26, 27 of FIGS. 4 and 5, this is equipped with a round edge-like profile edge 36 on the edge 35 which is to be connected to the weather protection rail 3. A shape 37, which is approximately trapezoidal in cross section, provided on the underside of the cover profile 26, 27 results in a stable support on the lower leg 27 of the groove-shaped shape 25 on the weather protection rail 3.
Finally, a barbed profiled hooking lug 38 is provided on the top of the cover profiles 26, 27, which together with the holding lug 39 on the metal profile 4 prevents the cover profile 26, 27 from being pulled out of the receiving groove 25.
An advantage here is that by designing the hooking nose 38 with a 90 angle, the hooking function is retained even when the covering profiles 26, 27 are coated with material.
The embodiment of the cover profile 27 shown in FIG. 5 additionally has a support web 40 which is supported on the vertical outer surface of the lower beam 8 of the window or door frame 10. It is preferred that the free edge 41 of the support web is designed as a 45 "cutting edge 42.
The metal window sill holder 16 shown in FIG. 6 has the advantage that it takes over all the necessary functions for holding a window sill 1 without the previously usual screwing of a metal window sill to the wood of the frame 10 being necessary.
At its end 45 to be fastened to the frame beam 8, the window sill holder 16 has a fixing lug 46, which enables the window sill holder 16 to be mounted precisely in the connection area
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
Schutzschiene-Holz enables, because this fixing lug 46 has a shape that matches the wooden contour.
On the leg 47 adjacent to the frame, two webs 48 are formed on the side facing away from the frame 10, which have triangular ribs 49 on their free edges in cross section, which enable screw-on tabs 15 for fastening the window sill holder 16 without additional fastening means by simply pushing them in can be attached to the window sill holder 16.
In the area of the underside of the window sill holder 16, two crosspieces 50 which are approximately T-shaped in cross-section are formed, into which, as shown in FIG. 1, the support tabs 17 shown in an exemplary embodiment in FIG. 8 can be hung.
These support tabs 17, as shown in Fig. 8, have a suspension web 51 only on one side, so that a hooking into the holder 16 from the front, i. H. the side facing away from the parapet is possible. For the rest, roundings 54 are provided between the shaft 52 of the support tab 17 and the holding head 53. This prevents 17 cracks from occurring when the holder is bent. Furthermore, a plurality of openings 55 are provided in the shaft 52 of the support bracket 17 for a plurality of fastening options.
As shown in Fig. 6, the window sill holder 16 is angled at 57 in the region of its end 56 facing away from the masonry and bent into a U-shape, the shorter leg 58 being of thinned design, so that there is a spring tension and the holder 16 is the required one Has elasticity.
The fastening tab 17 is shown in two views in FIG. 7. A fastening tab 17 is pressed on both sides into the groove-shaped formations delimited by the webs 48 on the leg 47 of the window sill holder 16, which is to be fastened to the frame beam 8. This is facilitated by the conical design of the web 60 to be fitted. In order to achieve a secure connection and securing the position, a press-in edge 61 is provided which is pressed into the wood when the fastening tabs 15 are fastened to it.
Due to the construction and the manufacturing process of the holder 16 in any width dimension (B), this can be produced without additional effort with the necessary stiffening.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
If the cover profile 20 shown in FIG. 9 of the window sill 1 is used in connection with the window sill holder 16 from FIG. 6, it is simply clipped onto it and its non-angled end 65 is inserted into the groove 25 in the weather protection rail 3. On the free leg 58 of the angled portion of the window sill holder 16, a latching nose 66 is provided, in which, as shown in FIG. 1, the free end 67 of the angled edge 68 of the cover profile 20 of the window sill 1 engages, so that the cover profile 20 is in the correct position is fixed.
It should also be pointed out that all the folds at the angled end of the cover profile 20 of the window sill 1 have the same radius and that the sum of the distances are divided according to the golden ratio.
In summary, the invention can be represented as follows, for example:
A weather protection rail 3 composed of a metal profile strip 4 and a plastic insulation strip 5, which is arranged on the frame 10 of a window or a door 2, has two predetermined breaking points 31, 32 in the area of its metal profile strip 4, which on the one hand the use of the weather protection rail 3 in connection with fixed glazing and on the other hand allows the production of the necessary notches without the required longitudinal cuts. The weather protection rail 3 can be combined with a cover profile which can be snapped into a receiving groove 25 in the metal profile strip.
The weather protection rail 3 can alternatively be combined with a window sill 1, for which purpose a holder 16 for the window sill 1 is mounted on the window or door frame 10, onto which a cover profile 20 for the window sill 1 is clipped and windowed in the end facing away from the window or the door - Or is inserted into the receiving groove 25 on the door side.
