Wood milling machine.
With the wood milling machine according to patent no. 64419 with two separately working, individually movably mounted and template-influenced milling cutters, one is limited in the production of form pieces insofar as the auxiliary milling cutter cannot have a changing inclination to the axis of the workpiece carrier.
With the help of the device shown in the drawing, it is now possible to achieve such an inclination of the secondary milling cutter during machining and thereby produce moldings in which the part machined by the auxiliary milling cutter according to a template is at an oblique angle to the part of the molding machined by the main milling cutter.
Fig. 1 shows the machine in side view, Fig. 2 is the front view and Fig. 3 is the top view. Fig. 4 shows a workpiece with two cross sections.
The milling cutter i, which is suspended swingably on the rod l and at another point like the main milling cutter g a from the clamping spindles a, b; c, d machined workpiece held. is rotatable with its shaft bearing f about the axis x-y. In stock f'i! t an arm m arranged, which rests against the template z on the clamping spindle. A spring r constantly pulls the bearing f with the arm m against the template.
So that the milling cutter i with its bearing does not unintentionally tilt itself far, so that it does not rotate further around the axis xy than is intended, and so that the thickness of the part of the workpiece to be machined by the auxiliary milling cutter at the transition point is exactly the thickness of the Adjusts the main milling cutter to the machined part, the bearing f of the auxiliary milling cutter i also carries an arm n which lies against the part p of the workpiece machined by the main milling cutter.
Since this part has already been completed when the secondary milling cutter is working, it can serve as a template for the latter with regard to the strength and also acts as such on the carrier i in this respect. than he did the workpiece part. which is machined by this milling cutter does not give a smaller diameter than that which the part machined by the main milling cutter has. The auxiliary cutter is inclined by the template and, moreover,
