Schutzreifen für Nietrundnäthe von metallenen Gefässen.
Zur Verstärkung von Randnäthen eiserner, genieteter Gefasse, namentlich aber an den Nähten der Böden macht sich die Anordnung von flachen oder abgerundeten Ver- stärkungsringen nssthig, sobald ein stärkerer, innerer Druck in dem Gefässe vorhanden ist.
Die Nietung zwischen Boden und Zarge wird durch den Gefässdruck am meisten beansprucht, da die Beanspruchung nicht allein durch die alle anderen Rundnähte gleichfalls treffende Kraft erfolgt, sondern weil zu dieser noch die Wirkung einer Kraft hinzukommt, welche die Durchbiegung des Bodens herbeizuführen sucht. Nun kommt hmzu, dass das Nieten beim Einsetzen der Böden in die Zarge erfahrungsgemäss um so schwieriger

Vorliegende Erfindung sucht diesem Übelstande dadurch abzuhelfen, dass die Nietung durch einen versteifenden Ring aus Winkeleisen verstärkt wird.
In der anliegenden Zeichnung zeigt Fig. 1 die Verstärkung durch einen Winkeleisenring, Fig. 2 diese Construction im vergrössertem massstabs.
In die Zarge a des Gefässes ist der gebördelte Boden h eingesetzt und aut die Nietung d der Winkel c aufgesetzt.
