Verfahren zur Herstellung von schwefelarmem Koks.
Im Stammpatente Nr. 69286 ist ein Verfahren mir Herstellung von schwefelarmem Koks beschrieben, welches darin besteht, dass Kohle unter Zuschlag von Metallen, Oxyden, Hydroxyden oder Salzen, die bei der nachfolgenden Behandlung katalytisch wirken, verkokt bzw. erhitzt und der noch heisse Koks dann der Einwirkung von geeigneten Gasen oder Dämpfen ausgesetzt wild, wodurch der organisch gebundene Schwefel des Koks nebst dem sulfidischen Schwefel durch die katalytische Wirkung der genannten Zuschlagsmaterialien entfernt wird.
Eine weitere Ausbildung dieses Verfahrens, die den Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung bildet, besteht darin, dass eine durchgreifende Entschwefelung des unter Zuschlag der genannten Materialien erzeugten bzw. erhitzten Koks auch dann stattfindet, wenn derselbe nach dem Erkalten mit Säuren oder sauren Flüssigkeiten gewaschen wird. Das Waschen von Koks an sich mit Säuren ist bereits bekannt, dies bildet jedoch nicht das Wesen der vorliegenden Erfindung, da letztere die katalytische Wirkung von Metallen, Oxyden, Hydroxyden oder Salzen dazu benutzt, den gesamten im Koks enthaltenen Schwefel zu entfernen, während das Waschen von Koks
