In the case of the split clamps used up to now for connecting pipes provided with flanges or collars, special elements were used to hold the clamp parts together and to connect the clamps and thus the pipes to one another.

In order to simplify the connecting parts and the attachment of the same to the pipes, the wedge pieces used to hold the split pipe clamps together are provided with through-bores for the screw bolts connecting two adjacent clamps.

The subject of the invention is shown in the drawing. Fig. 1 shows in longitudinal section the connection of two ceramic pipes with conical flange collars, Fig. 2 shows the pipe clamp and Fig. 3 shows that of pipes with straight flange collars.

The conical or straight split pipe clamps consist of two or more sectors which are adapted to the shape of the socket or flange. These individual parts carry cams a, which are provided in a known manner with inclined surfaces b which run conically in the longitudinal direction and over which correspondingly shaped wedge pieces c grip. These wedge pieces are now pierced lengthways in the middle in order to receive the screw bolts d which connect two adjacent clamps to one another.

When tightening the connecting bolts d, the individual parts of the pipe clamps are first tightened so that they are firmly around d. e Lay the pipes and then press the pipes tightly together in the axial direction.

**WARNUNG** Ende CLMS Feld Kannt Anfang DESC uberlappen**. PATENT CLAIM: Pipe connection with a clamp divided transversely to the pipe axis and also in sectors with wedge surfaces, characterized in that the screws (d) intended for the connection in the longitudinal direction of the pipe go through the wedge pieces (c), which are used in a known manner to hold the sectors together, so that home Tightening the screws also tighten the wedge pieces and secure them in place. ** WARNING ** End of CLMS field may overlap beginning of DESC **.
