Flaschenver8chluOkap8el.

Bottle cap.
The invention relates to a bottle closure capsule with a horizontal flange or folding collar to be rolled around the bead of the bottle neck and relates in particular to the design of the latter. According to the invention, the fold edges of the rim are each closed off by a downwardly sloping surface such that when the capsule is applied to the bottle, the lower capsule edge rests tightly and smoothly on the bottle.
The invention is illustrated in the drawing, namely FIG. 1 shows a plan view and FIG. 2 shows a vertical central section through the cap. Fig. 3 shows the capsule attached to the bottle.
The capsule consists of the circular cover disk 1 and the cylindrical flange 2 that adjoins it vertically. The lower edge of the latter is bent outwards and forms a wreath laid in folds. The folds or waves 3 of the ring extend radially to the outermost edge of the flange.
According to the invention, the folds 3 do not run straight from the inside to the outside, but they are closed at their outer end by a surface 6 sloping downwards.
This design of the capsule has the advantage that the disadvantages otherwise associated with using the fold rim are avoided. After placing the improved capsule on the bottle neck (Fig. 3), the lower edge of the capsule lies tightly and smoothly on the
