Description

 EMI1.1

 EMI1.1

The invention relates to devices on Scheinwei remote for automobiles or the like., For the purpose of closing the housing and separating the light reflected in a known manner from the headlight mirror. In the case of common headlights of this type, the housing is closed towards the front, i.e. in the direction of travel, by a flat, strong glass behind which a convex lens is attached. According to the invention, the cover glass is conical on the outside, but closed on the inside by an approximately spherical surface; this approximately spherical surface can be replaced by the outer surface of a truncated cone or, if cheapness plays a role, by a surface parallel to the outer conical surface.

The special attachment of a convex lens is then no longer necessary. In this way, compared to the conventional arrangement, not only a more compensatory shape is achieved, but also the essential advantage of easier cleaning and greater strength due to the reduced air resistance and the manufacture from a piece of glass.

In the drawing, Fig. 1 shows the headlight in side view, Fig. 2 in front view, Fig. 3 is a longitudinal section. 4 and 5 show the aforementioned differently shaped cover glasses 4 and 5, which have a dispersing effect. If the latter may be missing (as in the case of cheap lanterns), the cover glass, as also already mentioned, was produced as a hollow glass cone 1 according to FIG. 3. The part 2, which has to discharge the flame gases to the outside, is expediently designed like a helmet.

Claims (1)

EMI1.2 **WARNUNG** Ende CLMS Feld Kannt Anfang DESC uberlappen**. PATENT CLAIM: Headlights for automobiles or other vehicles, characterized in that the housing is closed by a glass body in place of the previously used flat cover glass combined with a lens, which is delimited like a cone on the outside and a cone-like, hollow-spherical or truncated-cone-like shape on the inside.
