Device for the production of panels from fiber materials and a binding agent.
The present invention relates to a device for producing panels from fiber material and a binding agent. It has already been proposed to squeeze the water out of the material layer through a screen surface by means of compressed air and for this purpose a lockable container was used, in which the mass was pressed by the compressed air into a rotating screen cylinder.
The device according to the invention is characterized by a hood which is to be placed tightly on the filter surface and which is provided with closable inflow organs for the pulp and the compressed air. Furthermore, according to the invention, the hood is connected to a storage container through pipes, in each of which two taps connected to one another are switched on in such a way that the mass is dispensed in measured quantities after the hood.
In the drawing, the device is shown in one embodiment.
The device consists of an elevated agitator vat a with mixing paddles b, which are driven by means of a back gear c. The agitator has openings in the bottom to which drain pipes d are connected. These drainage pipes d are each provided with two taps e and f which are arranged at a distance and are connected to one another and open into a hood h which is closed at the top and which forms the mold frame with its edge. The mold frame or the hood is open at the bottom, i.e. without a bottom.
Under this hood h there is a table with a lifting device n. The table carries a perforated plate I and this carries a filter plate k with a filter cloth i placed on it. In the middle of the lifting device n, the plate l with the filter plate k and filter cloth i can be lifted and pressed firmly against the hood h so that the hood A is completely closed at the bottom and thus forms a closed mass container. The hood h is also provided with a tap o. Soft compressed air, steam, gas or a similar pressure medium can be let into the hood.
Well-prepared pulp, consisting of fiber and binding agents, is fed to the mixer a and kept in a uniform mixture by the whisk b. The mass sinks automatically through the pipes into the hood. The taps f and e on the pipes are connected to one another in such a way that tap f closes when e is opened and vice versa. This arrangement ensures that the hood h is always precisely fitted
Amount of pulp is fed, the content of which is equal to the pipe content between taps e and f.
If cock f is opened so that the pulp mass can flow into the hood, then it closes. Hahn e as a result of the aforementioned connection and prevents the mass from flowing out of the stirring tank. If the pulp mass escaped, then
Tap f closed and tap e opens so that mass can flow in again.
The fibrous mass that has entered the hood e has spread out on the filter cloth, limited by the hood rim, and only needs to be dewatered. The
The plate is drained by means of air, steam, gas or the like. Suitable means, namely the pressure medium in question is carried out under a certain pressure
Tap o let into the hood above the pulp mass, after which the water is pressed out of the mass through the filter cloth.
The remaining mass is simultaneously pressed together by the pressure resting on it to form a raw plate. Now the cock is closed o the

Lifting device n is lowered and the filter plate with the filter cloth and the Rob plate lying on it are pulled out, whereupon the filter cloth and the filter plate are replaced to manufacture the next plate and the process as described above is repeated.
The raw panels removed are processed further in a known manner and subjected to final pressing.
