Method and device for washing and drying laundry.
The known methods require a separate treatment of the laundry items in a number of different types of vessels, such as in soaking tubs, kettles, washing machines, dishwashers, centrifuges, drying devices and disinfecting devices. Apart from the fact that the transfer of the laundry items into the individual apparatus is very time-consuming per se, the same are usually equipped with devices that ensure the stirring of the laundry items by a rotating or shaking movement of individual parts, which easily leads to the destruction of the latter.
All these disadvantages of the known methods or apparatus for treating laundry are eliminated by the method forming the subject of the present invention and the device used for its implementation. The new ancestor is essentially characterized by the fact that the entire washing process is brought about by introducing air into the washing liquid kit of a container. in the washroom, which has a perforated bottom, when the container is closed, the laundry items are pressed out and dried after the washing process has been completed by introduced heated compressed air. This, on the one hand, eliminates the time-consuming transfer

The washing container a, which is expediently designed in the shape of a cone, has two opposing square shoulders b, bl on its shell, the ends of which are designed as pivot pins and are held by the bearing blocks c, in such a way that the container a, which is usually stationary, to empty the items of laundry by ' a horizontal axis can be tilted. The lugs b, b1 and their pivot pins are hollow and serve to accommodate the tubes d and e sealed by the canister packing.
The pipe d passed through the extension b is through the elbow f with the three pipes

The hollow interior of the attachment b is also connected to the upper part of the boiler a by an upwardly directed pipeline i and to the lower part of the boiler by a downwardly directed pipeline k. Two horizontal lines l connect the cavity of the pin b with the central part of the lever.
All of the last-mentioned lines are also equipped with shut-off devices and serve, in the manner described below, to supply the washing tank with cold water through line h1 and warm water through line h3 or
Supply air through line h2.
@ Through the line e the steam is introduced into the cavity of the approach bl, which from here through the pipe m in the upper part of the container a and through the

Immediately above the steam coil n, a perforated intermediate floor o is built into the container a, which is slightly arched and otherwise strongly inclined, as can be seen in FIG. In the vicinity of the lowest point, the pipeline k opens into the perforated intermediate floor 0 to the side of the vertical container axis. The container can be rotated about its axis with the aid of a gear q, which is mounted on the pivot of the attachment bl and which meshes with the worm ql of the spindle r.
The container itself has a drain cock s on its actual bottom, which can be opened and closed with llilfo dos adjusting lever t (Fig. 3). The lid "of the container can be removed and is equipped with a discharge nozzle v as well as a manometer Er and a safety valve x.
As can be seen in FIG. 4, an air compressor is expediently arranged in the vicinity of the washing container a, the steam cylinder A of which is connected to a steam boiler D through line B, while the air cylinder E is 1 through a line F to an air container H and through the line J / communicates with line h2. The exhaust line N of the cylinder A is led through a hot water tank A, next to which the cold water tank T is arranged, into which the line hl opens.
