Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

  Gleichzeitig ais Zentrifuge verwendbare Waschmaschine.

Washing machine that can also be used as a centrifuge.

To wash large items, such as carpets, curtains or the like, very long washing drums with very powerful drive shafts are required if the washing machine is to be used as a centrifuge, i.e. to rotate at high speed.

The invention now aims to provide a washing machine for such purposes without a continuous drive shaft, whereby sufficient space for the arrangement of a distribution pipe for supplying chemical cleaning agents, such as gasoline or the like.

This is achieved in that the washing drum is supported by rows of rollers distributed along the entire circumference, advantageously mounted in the drum housing.

The drawing illustrates an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention in FIG. 1 partly in view and partly in longitudinal section and in FIG. 2 in cross section, while FIGS. 3 and 4 show a second embodiment in identical representations.

The washing drum a, designed as a sieve drum, has several races b, along which runners c are distributed around the entire drum circumference. The rollers rest on journals d, the bearings f of which are arranged in the bearing rings g concentrically surrounding the races b. The bearing rings 9 sit on the housing h which bypasses the sieve drum a and which, like the sieve drum a, has a door at the left end for introducing the items to be washed into the machine.

At the right end there is (a shaft piece i with a stepped disk k made of two disks, so that the machine can be used as a washing machine and centrifuge
In the case of washing drums which are divided into compartments by the screen wall 8, an axially arranged tube I extends through the door of the drum housing (FIGS. 3 and 4).

The pipe I is covered by a jacket M! enclosed who the

Detergents, such as gasoline or the like., Flow through the sieve jacket m distributed in the departments of the wall drum.

The roller bearing of the sieve drum has the great advantage that it enables the use of very long drums for washing very large items and avoids the heavy, continuous long wool.
 EMI1.2

1 Washing machine which can also be used as a centrifuge, characterized in that the washing drum is trimmed by rows of rollers distributed along the entire circumference, advantageously mounted on the drum housing, in order to be able to drive the drum at high speed while avoiding a continuous shaft.
