  Verfahren zur Darstellung von Küpenfarbstoffen. 



   Es wurde gefunden, dass man durch Einwirkung von Naphtylaminen auf mehrfach halogenierte Benzochinone neue Verbindungen erhält, welche sich durch ihre   färberischen   Eigenschaften vor den mit Aminen der Benzolreihe entstehenden analogen   Chinouaniliden   auszeichnen. Die neuen Produkte sind Farbstoffe, welche ans der   Küpe   in schönen und echten   Braunnuanc6n   auf Baumwolle und Wolle färben. 



   Beispiel :   14 :, 6   Teile 1-Naphtylamin und   12#3   Teile Chloranil werden mit 8 Teilen Natriumazetat und 150 Teilen Alkohol während vier Stunden gekocht. Der entstandene Farbstoff wird abfiltriert und mit Wasser ausgekocht. Er bildet ein braunes kristallinisches Pulver, das in Wasser und Alkohol nicht   löslich   ist ; von konzentrierter Schwefelsäure wird es mit blauer, von Nitrobenzol mit rotbrauner Farbe gelöst. Mit alkalischem Hydrosulfit gibt er eine braungelbe Lösung, welche Wolle und Baumwolle hellgelb färbt. Die Färbung geht durch Oxydation an der Luft in Braun über. 



   Derselbe Farbstoff entsteht, wenn an Stelle von Chloranil Trichlorchinon oder 2.   5-Dichlorchinon   zur Anwendung gelangt. Und sehr ähnliche Farbstoffe werden   x.   B. ge-   wannen   beim Ersatz des   !-Naphtylamins durch 2-Naphtylamin   oder halogenierte   Naphtylamine.

   It has been found that the action of naphthylamines on multiply halogenated benzoquinones gives new compounds which are distinguished by their coloring properties from the analogous quinouanilides formed with amines of the benzene series. The new products are dyes that dye the vat in beautiful and genuine shades of brown on cotton and wool.



   Example: 14:, 6 parts of 1-naphthylamine and 12 # 3 parts of chloranil are boiled with 8 parts of sodium acetate and 150 parts of alcohol for four hours. The resulting dye is filtered off and boiled with water. It forms a brown crystalline powder that is not soluble in water and alcohol; concentrated sulfuric acid dissolves it with blue color, with nitrobenzene with red-brown color. With alkaline hydrosulphite he gives a brown-yellow solution which dyes wool and cotton light yellow. The color changes to brown due to oxidation in the air.
