Das amorphe anhydrische Bariumhydrat kann vorteilhaft nach dem in oben angegebenem Patente seitens derselben Erfinder beschriebenen Verfahren hergestellt werden. Die Dicke der provisorischen oder zeitweiligen Schicht oder Unterlagen aus Bariumverbindungen gemäss obiger Beschreibung kann den Erfordernissen entsprechend geändert werden.
PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE :
1. Verfahren zur Herstellung von Bariumoxyd aus wasserfreiem Bariumhydroxyd und einer Bariumverbindung, wie Bariumsuperoxyd oder Bariumnitrat, durch Erhitzen in einem Ofen auf einem festen schützenden Bett von Bariumoxyd, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass zwischen dem genannten schützenden Bett und der zu behandelnden Beschickung noch eine weitere schützende Schicht von losem Bariumoxyd, Bariumsuperoxyd oder Bariumnitrat als solchem oder in Form eines Gemisches zweier oder aller dieser Verbindungen angeordnet wird, um zu verhüten, dass das Bariumhydroxyd und das entstehende Bariumoxyd sich unter der Einwirkung der Hitze fest an die Unterlage anheften.

PATENT CLAIMS:
1. A process for the production of barium oxide from anhydrous barium hydroxide and a barium compound, such as barium superoxide or barium nitrate, by heating in an oven on a solid protective bed of barium oxide, characterized in that between said protective bed and the charge to be treated there is another protective A layer of loose barium oxide, barium peroxide or barium nitrate as such or in the form of a mixture of two or all of these compounds is arranged in order to prevent the barium hydroxide and the barium oxide formed from adhering firmly to the surface under the action of heat.
