  Verfahren zur Darstellung grüner bis schwarzer Küpenfarbstoffe. 



   Während es in der Thioindigoreihe gelingt, durch Einführung von Substituenten in das Thioindigomolekül die Farbstoffe in den Nuancen von Orange bis Schwarz zu erhalten, sind in der Indigoreihe ähnliche Verhältnisse nicht beobachtet worden ; die Farbe aller bisher bekannten Indigoderivate ist vielmehr blau oder violettrot. 



   Es wurde nun die Beobachtung gemacht, dass man zu Farbstoffen von anderen

 zum Stickstoff einführt. Solche Indigoderivate gewinnt man, indem man diejenigen Indoxylderivate der Oxydation unterwirft, welche aus 5-Alkylthiophenyl-1-glyzin-2-karbonsäure erhältlich sind. Es entstehen so dunkelgrüne bis schwarze Farbstoffe, die leicht   verktipbar   sind und auf Baumwolle und Wolle echte Färbungen liefern. 



   Beispiel :
100 Teile des sauren Natronsalzes der   5-Äthylthiophenyl-l-glyzin-2-karbonsäure,   welche man erhalten kann durch Einwirkung von Chloressigsäure, auf die schon in dem in dem französischen Patente Nr. 384418 beschriebene Äthylthioantranilsäure
COOH : NH2 : SR = 1 : 2 : 4, werden mit etwa   f) OU   Teilen   Essigsäureanhydrid   unter   Rückflusskühlung   kurze Zeit zum Sieden erhitzt. Nach dem Erkalten gibt man in viel Wasser, macht mit Natronlauge ätzulkalisch und erhitzt unter kräftigem Rühren und Lufteinleiten in die alkalisch zu haltende Lösung so lunge, bis der Farbstoff völlig abgeschieden ist.

   Der neue Farbstoff bildet in trockener Form ein tiefgrünschwarzes Pulver, welches sich in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure mit blaustichig grüner, in Eisessig mit grüner, in Alkohol und Nitrohenzol mit roter Farbe mit   grünem Dichroismus lost, sich   leicht   verküpen   lässt und Baumwolle und Wolle grün bis schwarz färbt.
