Abstract
Ein Reichweitenverlängerer (1) für Elektrofahrzeuge hat eine Brennkraftmaschine (2), einen Generator (3), der an eine e lektrofahrzeugseitige Batterie (7) anschließbar ist, und eine schaltbare erste Kupplung (4), die zwischen der Brennkraftma schine (2) und dem Generator (3) angeordnet ist.Um den Betrieb eines Elektrofahrzeugs unter Vermeidung von Abgasen in bestimmten Situationen wirtschaftlich und energe tisch günstiger zu gestalten, wird erfindungsgemäß vorge schlagen, dass der Reichweitenverlängerer (1) als Modul- bzw. Baueinheit einen Klimakompressor (5) aufweist, dass zwischen dem Generator (3) und dem Klimakompressor (5) eine schaltbare zweite Kupplung (6) angeordnet ist, und dass bei ausreichen dem Ladezustand der elektrofahrzeugseitigen Batterie (7) und nicht geschalteter erster Kupplung (4) der Klimakompressor(5) bei geschalteter zweiter Kupplung (6) aus der elektro fahrzeugseitigen Batterie (7) über den in diesem Betriebszu stand als Elektromotor fungierenden Generator (3) antreibbar ist.
