Hiezu 1 Blatt Zeichnungen2 AT 503 415 B1 The invention relates to a sensing device for cantilevers of a mobile irrigation system. The invention serves the boom of a mobile irrigation system, as described, for example, in AT Pat. 385 392 or in FR 2 562 378, is to be kept in a range between a maximum distance to the ground and a minimum distance to the plant vegetation or to undeveloped soil. This task is solved with the characterizing features of claim. The invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings. On a mounted at the outer end of a boom fork-shaped support frame (1) in the direction of travel R front a bracket (2), stored. If the distance between the lower edge of the support frame and the plant surface is greater than the minimum distance (amin), the bracket rests in the stop (4). As soon as the minimum distance is undershot and the bracket meets plant or undeveloped ground, the bracket deflects upwards and releases the switch (3) whose change of state gives the control of the irrigation system the information that the minimum distance has been reached. This allows the surface to be felt by both overgrown and uncultivated soil. On the rear side of the support frame, a lever (5) is rotatably mounted and is tensioned by a spring (6) upwards. On the lever, a rope (7) is mounted, on which a weight (8) is attached. As long as the distance between the lower edge of the support frame and the floor is smaller than the maximum distance (amax), the weight G (8) rests on the ground and is pulled by the rope (7). As soon as the maximum distance is exceeded, the weight (8) oscillates downwards. As a result, the resistance of the spring (6) is overcome. The lever (5) pivots down and actuates the switch (9). Its change of state reports to the controller of the irrigation system that the maximum distance has been reached. By moving the weight (8) along the rope (7), the maximum distance to the ground can be changed. Tasting device for boom of irrigation systems, characterized in that mounted on a forward in the direction of travel at the outer end of a boom fork-shaped support frame (1) an upwardly swingable bracket (2) which rests against a stop (4) and on the the rear side of the support frame (1) by a spring (6) upwardly tensioned lever (5) is pivotally mounted on which a cable (7) is mounted with a weight attached thereto, which oscillates down.
