Auf diese Weise Können die Rückstandsäuren wiederholt zu Vornitrierungen der Solvent- naphtha ausgenützt werden. Sollten sie durch das bei Reaktion entstandene Wasser soweit verdünnt werden, dass sie nicht mehr zur Vornitrierung geeignet sind, so werden sie mit den bei der Fertignitrierung der öligen Nitrokörper erhaltenen Rückstandsäuren versetzt, Sollten sich grössere Mengen von Rückstandaäuro anhäufen, so werden sie in bekannter Weise regeneriert.
Aus dem obigen geht hervor, dass das neue Verfahren im wesentlichen darin besteht, dass man die im Patente Nr. 49941 verwendete, gewöhnliche Schwefelsäure durch rauchende Schwefelsäure ersetzt, welche bei einem mit der gewöhnlichen Schwefelsäure fast gleichen Preise eine erheblich stärkere Wasserentziehung bewirkt, was bei der Nitrierung der oben genannten in der Solventnaphtha neu aufgefundenen Kohlenwasserstoffe sich als vorteilhaft erwiesen hat.
Das neue Verfahren hat sich gegenüber dem des Verfahrens des Patentes Nr. 49941 demnach auch als wirtschaftlicher Fortschritt herausgestellt.

From the above it can be seen that the new process essentially consists in replacing the common sulfuric acid used in Patent No. 49941 with fuming sulfuric acid, which, at a price almost the same as that of the common sulfuric acid, causes a considerably greater dehydration the nitration of the above-mentioned hydrocarbons newly found in solvent naphtha has proven advantageous.
The new process has therefore also proven to be an economic advance compared to the process of patent no. 49941.
