  Exchangeable sole for footwear.

The exchangeable sole for footwear is of such a shape that the sole is provided with projections and the shoe bottom is provided with corresponding recesses that fit into one another, the projections being slotted so that inserted sheet metal strips connect the two soles to one another. Several or a single sheet can be used for the connection.

In the drawing, Fig. 1 is a view from below against a sole with projections, Fig. 2 is a slide-in sheet, Figs. 3 and 4 are sections through the mutually fitting sole parts, Figs. 5 and 6 are plan views and section of a secured sole placed on the bottom of the shoe, 7 and 8 plan and section through another embodiment.

The insole a is surrounded by frame b and has projections h and recesses i, into which the projections h with intervening recesses i of the outsole b fit.

The elevations A have slots in the longitudinal direction of the sole. Sheets, k (FIG. 2) are pushed through these slots. These sheets create an absolutely secure connection between the two parts. In order to be able to remove the outsole b for the purpose of replacement, it is only necessary to pull out the metal sheets A. After removing the sheets, both parts can easily

the sole too, cutouts? H, in order to lie down with them around the raised areas provided in the insole and thus be secured against loosening.

Instead of several metal sheets k, as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, a single Bk eeh can also be used, which can then be kept almost the width of the sole and provided with shoulders in order to account for the tapering towards the tip of the shoe to wear.
