Entfernung dieses Stabes von den Leisten 16, 17 in der Richtung des Pfeiles (Fig. 1) wird durch Osen 20 verhindert, welche an einer der Leisten befestigt sind und die Enden des Stabes umfassen.
Die gleiche Befestigung ist auch am Querteil der Querstückes 7 durchgeführt. Dabei ist es durch Drehen des in der Pfeilrichtung etwas gelockerten Stabes mit dem Stoff möglich, durch weiteres Herausziehen bezw. Hineinschieben des Stoffendes in den Schlitz die Rahmenfüllung in einfacher Weise verlängern oder verkürzen zu können.
Wird bei der mit vollen Linien dargestellten Lage der Teile der Gestellteil 2 in der Pfeilrichtung an den Gestellteil 1 herangebracht, dann nimmt der Streckstuhl nur sehr wenig Raum ein und kann leicht aufbewahrt und transportiert werden. Das Gestell des Streckstuhles kann aber auch ein nichtzusammenklappbares sein.
