Fig. 3 ist eine Seitenansicht des Messerkopfes.

Cutter head for dressing and grooving.
Cutter heads for dressing and grooving of approximately circular cross-section are already known in which the working pressure of the dressing knife is immediate
EMI1.1
knife-holding wedge-shaped pressure pieces are pressed directly by the fastening screws against the dressing knife.
In the case of the present subject matter of the invention, however, these wedge-shaped pressure pieces are pressed against the dressing knives by the segment plates that complement the cutter head to form a cylinder or by the fillet knives.
The subject of the invention is shown in the drawing, namely: FIG. 1 shows the cross section and FIG. 2 shows the longitudinal view of such a cutter head for simultaneous planing and grooving. Figure 3 is a side view of the cutter head.
The cutter head a is equipped on one side with a Kelhlmesser f, while the other side has a segment plate e. Both halves are really the same. In addition, there are dressing knives b which are pressed firmly against the head a by the pressure pieces c either through the segment plates e or the fillet knives f. The suction plates e consist of one or more parts, depending on the length of the head.
If grooving is now to be carried out, the corresponding segment plates are removed and grooving knives are fastened in their place with the same screws, the grooving knives keeping the pressure piece with it and so only two rows of screws are around the head even when planing and grooving at the same time.
