Figur 1, in perspektivischer Ansicht,
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

The invention relates to a roller block for supporting a running rail of a sliding gate, consisting of a support plate supporting one or more pairs of rollers and a fixed base plate, the support plate being welded to the base plate.
It is known, for example from EP 0 279 155 B1, to form a roller block from two support plates which are perpendicular to one another. The vertical support plate is welded to the top of the horizontal support plate and that along the entire circumference of the support. The two support plates are each made in one piece.
It has been shown to be disadvantageous that the welding of the vertical support plate on the top of the horizontal support plate leads to a warping of the vertical support plate, so that the bearing of the castors articulated on the vertical support plate is negatively influenced in the running rail, since the castors are affected by the Warping of the welding are not aligned on a common axis. This creates unpleasant running noises in the track when the rollers are run over and the rollers are worn in various ways due to the uneven load, so that the rollers are subject to great wear.
Due to the one-piece design of the support plates, the force and bending moment absorption depends on the cross-sectional width of the support plates. High forces and bending moments therefore require two much wider support plates than are required for lower forces and bending moments. Therefore, the weight of the roller block is increased overall when absorbing high forces and bending moments.
It is therefore an object of the invention to develop a roller block of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that the pairs of rollers are arranged in the running rail as precisely as possible without the welding of the support plates negatively influencing the alignment of the pairs of rollers. Furthermore, the strength as well as the force and bending moment absorption of the roller block should be increased, so that a higher load on the roller block is possible while the cross-sectional width of the support plates remains the same.
According to the invention, these two objects are achieved in that the base plate has one or more receiving openings, one or more attachment pieces are attached to the support plate and correspond to the attachment opening (s) in the base plate and that the attachment pieces reach through the intake openings and engage the opposite side of the base plate these are welded.
In order to minimize warping when welding the roller block, the support plate elements are locked together using spot welding and the support plate is fastened to the base plate using spot welding.
Further advantageous developments of the invention result from the subclaims.
Due to the fact that attachments are attached to the support plate, which pass through the receiving openings of the base plate in the assembled state, the support plate can be welded to the base plate in the area that is furthest away from the rollers, so that the distortion resulting from the welding merely occurs exerts an influence on the deformation of the end pieces and has little to no effect on the alignment of the support plate and thus on the aligned and positionally accurate arrangement of the pairs of rollers mounted on the support plate.
By arranging the end pieces of the support plate in the receiving opening of the base plate, the stability of the roller block, in particular against bending and tilting moments, is increased, since the end pieces are supported by the walls of the receiving opening in the event of vertical forces.
In addition to this technical measure, both the support plate and / or the base plate can alternatively be composed of a plurality of support plate elements, so that this sandwich design allows the support and base plate to be subjected to a higher load with a constant cross-sectional width than is the case with a single-layer structure Support plate is the case.
The drawing shows two exemplary embodiments according to the invention, which are explained in more detail below. In detail shows:
FIG. 1 shows a first exemplary embodiment of a roller block for supporting a running rail of a sliding gate, in a side view,
Figure 2 the roller block acc. FIG. 1, in a perspective view,
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Figure 3 the roller block according to. Figure 2 along the section line 111-111, and
Figure 4 shows a second embodiment of a roller block, in section.
1 shows a roller block 1 fixedly attached to a base 2, by means of which a sliding gate 3 fastened to a running rail 4 is supported. Two pairs of rollers 5 are articulated on the roller block 1 and are rotatably held by a bearing pin 7.
The running rail 4 is designed as a box profile, so that the pairs of rollers 4 are arranged inside the box profile. To support and absorb vertical forces, four running surfaces 6 are provided inside the running rail 4, which are moved over the running roller pairs 5 when the sliding gate 3 is opened or closed.
The horizontally occurring forces and the tilting moments acting on the sliding gate 3 are supported by the fact that the running surfaces 6 are concavely curved and the outer contour of the running rollers 5 are exactly adapted to the curvature of the running surfaces 6, so that the pairs of rollers 5 are spherical are curved.
The roller block 1 is locked in place by means of fastening screws 8 screwed into the base 2.
In addition, the roller block 1 consists of two plates fastened to one another vertically, the plate resting on the base 2 being referred to as the base plate 11 and the plate carrying the pairs of rollers 5 being referred to as the support plate 12. Both the base plate 11 and the support plate 12 are each composed of two support plate elements 13, which lie against one another over their entire contact surface and are firmly connected to one another laterally at the seams by means of welding points.
The type of fastening between the base plate 11 and the support plate 12 is shown in FIGS. 2 and 3. For this purpose, three rectangular receiving openings 14 are machined into the two support plate elements 13 forming the base plate 11 on the longitudinal axis 9 of the base plate 11. The support plate 12 has three extension pieces 15 corresponding to the cross-sectional shape of the receiving openings 14, which are fully inserted into the receiving opening 14 in the assembled state and thus reach through them.
To fix the base plate 11, four elongated holes 16 are machined in the corner regions thereof, through which the fastening screws 8 protrude.
It can be seen from FIG. 3 that the support plate 12 is welded to the base plate 11 on the side facing the base 2. The weld seam 17 formed in this way can be continuous or in the form of a spot weld seam. This depends on the forces and tilting moments to be absorbed.
In FIG. 4, the entire base plate 11 consists of four support plate elements 13, two support plate elements 13 each forming one half of the base plate 11, the parting plane of which extends in the region of the support plate 12. In the longitudinal direction, a dovetail guide 18 is incorporated into the central plane of the base plate 11, which is thus provided in both halves of the base plate 11 and whose opening faces one another in alignment.
Two horizontally projecting guide pieces 19 are formed on the support plate 12, which engage in the assembled state in the dovetail guide 18 and are thus held in the latter.
The dovetail guide 18 can be used to absorb both horizontal, vertical forces and bending and tilting moments. The base plate 11 and the support plate 12 are connected by means of the weld seams 17 facing the base 2.
