<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

The invention relates to a control circuit according to the preamble of claim 1.
In known control circuits of this type, only one normally open contact of the relay is provided for controlling the gas valve
However, this has the disadvantage that the normally open contact of the relay must be connected in the mains supply line connected to a phase of the network in order to avoid the risk of the gas valve responding in the event of an earth fault. However, the problem arises that changes in the wiring, which can also result from working in the house installation, no longer provide this originally existing security.
Apart from the fact that - in the event of an error when connecting the control circuit to the mains, the supposed safety is not given and ground faults can lead to an uncontrolled response of the gas valve with all the possible problems that follow,
EMI1.1
have to do, the phase and neutral conductors can be mixed up, which means that the supposed safety at ground faults is no longer guaranteed.
The aim of the invention is to avoid these disadvantages and to propose a control circuit of the type mentioned above, which is largely intrinsically safe and in which even in the event of faults when connecting the control circuit it is ensured that there is no response of the gas valve in the event of a ground fault .
According to the invention, this is achieved in a control circuit of the type mentioned at the outset by the characterizing features of claim 1.
The proposed measures ensure that when the relay is de-energized, the gas valve or its electromagnet is short-circuited and can therefore under no circumstances be energized. In the event of a short to ground, the safety device responds so that such an error can be clearly recognized. By designing the relay contact as a changeover contact, a high degree of intrinsic safety of the Switching reached, with which it is impossible that voltage can reach the gas valve when the relay is deactivated.
The features of claim 2 result in the advantage of a very simple mounting possibility for the gas valve
The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the drawing, which schematically shows a control circuit according to the invention.
In the control circuit 10 according to the invention, connections 1, 2 are connected to an AC voltage network via connection terminals X1 Ne. A fuse F1, F2 is arranged in each of the network connections 1, 2 i. Furthermore, 1, 2 switching contacts; S1-1 and S1-2 are arranged in the mains connections.
The mains connection 2 is connected to a normally open contact connection 11 of a relay contact 3 of a relay K3 designed as a changeover contact. The root 12 of the relay contact 3 is connected via a connecting line 4 to a plug contact connection 5, in which a gas valve 6 or its magnetic drive is set. This drive is also inserted into a plug-in connector 7, which is connected to the mains connection 1.
A normally closed contact connection 13 of the relay contact 3 is connected to the mains connection 1 via a short-circuit line 8.
Furthermore, an earth line 9 is provided, which is connected to a line of the mains via the connection terminals X1 and is connected to an electrically conductive part, to which a dangerous touch voltage could occur in the event of a fault.
When the relay K3 is de-energized, the relay contact 3 therefore connects the root 12 to the normally closed contact connection 13, so that the gas valve 6 is short-circuited. As a result, no voltage can reach the gas valve 6 as long as the relay K3 is not energized and the relay contact 3 connects the roots 12 connects to the work contact terminal 13.
If the connection is correct, the network connection 1 is connected to the neutral conductor IV of the network and the network connection 2 is connected to a phase conductor L1.
If a ground fault occurs, there is an essentially direct connection between the mains connection 1 and the earth line 9, which causes the fuse F1 to trip.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
If a fault in the wiring results in the mains connection 1 being connected to a phase of the network, then in the event of a ground fault, there is also a connection between the mains connection connected to a phase and the earth line, so that fuse F2 appeals.
In any case, it is ensured that no voltage can reach the gas valve 6 without energizing the relay K3.
