Description

Process for the production of creped or embossed paper with high tear and tensile strength.

The present invention relates to a further embodiment of the process, protected by patent no. 35641, for the production of creped or gauze paper of high tensile strength and tensile strength and aims to bring such paper into such a condition that writing on it with a pen and printing can be done without any problems after any printing process.

This purpose is achieved in that the creped or gauze and according to the method of patent no. 35641 fold solid and difficult to stretch paper into
 EMI1.1
becomes. This smoothing or calendering can be carried out in a known manner between calenders or calendering rollers, between which the creped or gauze paper produced according to the method according to patent no. 3fi641 is passed, with very strong pressure being exerted on the paper by means of the rollers.

Such a treatment does not remove the increase in the surface area per unit area of the paper achieved by creping or gauze, but only brings about a strong smoothing of the paper. As a result of this strong smoothing, the paper is made suitable for writing or printing, so that it has a
 EMI1.2
used paper forms. The strong smoothing gives the creping or guffing of the paper the appearance of a grain, so that the paper treated in the specified manner can also be used as wrapping or luxury paper.
