Durch die Erfindung wird zunächst der Vorteil erreicht, daß es zur Anordnung der Schloßgehäuse lediglich der Fenster in der Helmschale des Kalottenteils bedarf, was auch in dünnwandigen Bereichen der Helmschale ohne weiteres möglich ist, so daß die Steckverschlüsse bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Schutzhelm keine Wandverstärkungen erfordern. In Steckrichtung sind die im Fenster sitzenden Schloßgehäuse sicher und 40 zuverlässig an der Helmschale gehalten. Da die Steckerzungen das Kalottenteil außenseitig übergreifen, werden quer zur Steckrichtung orientierte Stoßflächen an Kalotten- und Bügelteil praktisch entbehrlich, was die Möglichkeit bietet, Kalotten- und Bügelteil auch im beiderseitigen Anschlußbereich je nach Verwendungszweck des Schutzhelms besonders formgerecht gestalten zu können. Zur Halterung des Schloßgehäuses (8) an der Helmschale (1') ist in der Helmschalenwand ein Fenster (10) ausgespart und darin das Schloßgehäuse (8) mit zum Bügelteil (2) zeigendem Einsteckschlitz (9) formschlüssig eingesetzt. Da das Schloßgehäuse (8) im wesentlichen rechteckigen Grundriß besitzt, ist es im entsprechend formschlüssig gestalteten Fenster (10) dreh- und verschiebungssicher gehalten.
