Wie aus Fig. 1 hervorgeht, umfaßt der gezeigte Schutzhelm für Motorradfah rer eine Schale 10 und einen Kinnbügel 11. Die Ausbildung der Sperrzungen 12 bzw. der diese aufnehmenden Schächte 13 ist dem Fachmann bekannt und bedarf daher keiner näheren Erläute rungen. Das Visier 14 kann daher in verschiedenen Schwenkstellungen gegenüber dem Kinnbügel 11 arretiert werden. Zu diesem Zweck ist es lediglich erforderlich, die Sperrzungen 12 mit den entsprechenden Hinterschneidungen der Schale 10 außer Eingriff zu bringen. Das Visier 14 wird vorteilhafterweise vollständig nach unten geschwenkt, so daß es zwischen dem Kinnbügel 11 und der Polsterung 15 angeordnet und geschützt ist. In diesem Zustand nimmt der Kinnbügel 11 nur wenig Platz in Anspruch und kann daher ohne Schwierigkeiten verstaut werden. Wie aus der vorstehenden Beschreibung hervorgeht, kann der gezeigte Schutzhelm auf einfache Weise abgewandelt werden, so daß entweder ein herkömmlicher Inte gralhelm mit starr verbundenem Kinnbügel oder ein Jethelm geschaffen wird, bei dem das Gesichtsfeld völlig frei bleibt.The safety helmet shown can be easily modified according to the driver's wishes.
