  Verfahren zur Erzeugung gelbroter Färbungen auf den Textilfasern. 



   Durch Einwirkung Wasser entziehender Mittel auf die   Phenylthioglykol-o-karbona'jre   erhält man die 3-Oxy-(I)-thionaphten-2-karbonsäure. Durch Erhitzen oder durch die Ein- wirkung von Säuren spaltet sich Kohlensäure ab und bildet sch das   3-0xy- (I) -thionaphten.   



   Diese beiden Verbindungen geben nun bei der Kondensation mit molekularen Mengen Isatin und eine neue Verbindung, welche Farbstoffcharakter besitzt. Behandelt man das Kondensationsprodukt mit Reduktionsmitteln, so geht es mit gelber Farbe in Lösung ; die in ihr enthaltene Leukoverbindung besitzt genügende Verwandtschaft zur Faser. Kommt nun die mit dem   Reduktionsprodukt   beladene   Faser wieder mit   der Luft oder einem anderen   Oxydationsmittel   in Berührung, so wird auf ihr der Farbstoff wieder gebildet.

   Auf diese Weise gelingt es, mit der neuen Verbindung nach dem Verfahren des Patentes Nr. 35485 auf der Faser rote   Färbungen zu erzeugen.   Das Verfahren bleibt genau das gleiche, wie das des Stamm-Patentes, es ist lediglich erforderliche den dort verwendeten Farbstoff durch das bei der Kondensation von 3-Oxy-(I)-thionaphten mit Isatn erhaltene Produkt zu ersetzen.

   The action of water-removing agents on the phenylthioglycol-o-karbona'jre gives 3-oxy- (I) -thionaphten-2-carboxylic acid. When heated or when exposed to acids, carbonic acid is split off and forms 3-oxy- (I) -thionaphthene.



   When condensing with molecular quantities, these two compounds give isatin and a new compound which has the character of a dye. If the condensation product is treated with reducing agents, it goes into solution with a yellow color; the leuco compound contained in it is sufficiently related to the fiber. If the fiber loaded with the reduction product comes into contact with the air or another oxidizing agent, the dye is formed again on it.

   In this way, it is possible to produce red colorations on the fiber with the new compound according to the method of patent no. 35485. The process remains exactly the same as that of the parent patent, it is only necessary to replace the dye used there with the product obtained from the condensation of 3-oxy- (I) -thionaphthene with Isatn.
