Stelle in gebräuchlicher Weise erfolgen.
PATENT SPRÜCHE :

Process for de-ironing and demanganizing water.
In the case of iron removal and demanganization of water by means of aeration, the iron and manganese compounds contained in the water being converted into filterable reaction products, it is already known, as is the fact that the hydroxides of iron and manganese precipitated as catalysts accelerate the aforementioned reaction. These reaction products have therefore hitherto been deposited as a coating on suitable materials with a large surface, thus forming a contact mass over which the water to be de-ironed or demanganized is sent.
. It has now been shown, however, that these reaction products are by far not as effective as catalysts in their fully formed or excreted state as when they are used during their formation, i.e. in statu nascendi, and consequently according to the present invention a part of the water from the reaction or contact space containing the reaction products that are just being formed is mixed into the raw water, whereupon the entire mixture is added to the reaction or. Contact space is supplied.
It has also been shown that the effect of this supplied to the raw water
Reaction products are still increased if they are subjected to aeration, which is carried out either before or during the introduction into the raw water, or which is after
Introduction of these reaction products into the raw water acts on the whole mixture. The
Air acts on the reaction products present in statu nascendi, thus accelerating the reaction in progress and these lively reaction processes, in which the aforementioned hydroxides are in the state of flocculation, therefore have a particularly intense catalytic force, which according to the present invention the raw water is brought into effect.
Of course, nothing changes in this process if the water containing reaction products that is in the process of being formed also contains already completely formed reaction products.
So even if it was known per se to treat the water with the catalytically active reaction products which had already been separated out, the process described has a significantly higher effect, since the catalysts are used in a substantially different form and with increased effectiveness to be brought.
The process described for precipitating the Kis-n and manganese compounds can also be further promoted by adding soluble or insoluble manganese-containing compounds such as, for example, to the raw water, as is already known per se. B. Braunstein, as
Contact substance are added, which compounds, however, according to the invention should also be in statu nascendi.
When carrying out the process described above in practice, it is advisable to use one point of the reaction chamber. where the reaction products are about to form, a pipe to a pump branching off part of the in the

PATENT PROVISIONS:
1. Process for de-ironing or demanganization of water, being previously formed
Reaction products are used as catalysts, characterized in that enteil of the water with the reaction products only being formed is removed from the reaction space and, if appropriate, mixed with other reaction products known per se for removal purposes, but being formed, such as. B. soluble or insoluble manganese compounds, is introduced into the raw water stream, whereupon the whole
