Fig. 9-11 zeigen einige Federn ohne Anfangsspannung.

attached to the frame. In the same way, as indicated above, the arrangement can be changed here so that the pressure arm B is fixed and the abutment C is resilient. The espagnolette bar can advantageously be rotated by a handle H, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, and be provided with one or more resilient or fixed pressure arms. The handle H can be attached to the espagnolette bar at any height and also to the lowest end of the same. If the bar has the necessary strength, it can be 3-4 ni long, which is why even very high windows can be closed comfortably and safely with this device.
Figure 7 is a perspective view of a flat iron spring bent so that it can be attached to a round rod and held in place by its own tension or other suitable means.
Fig. 8 is a perspective view of a spring that can be retained on an edged bar by its own tension by pressing against the sides of the bar.
The springs can be given any desired shape, provided they have the appropriate tension for the purpose in question. Where the rotation of the rod is not too limited, the springs may not need to have initial tension.
Figures 9-11 show some springs without initial tension. With springs like this, only a slightly larger turn of the espagnolette bar is required to obtain the necessary pressure from the wing

and receives its support from another pin K, which can be attached to the window frame, window post or window sash. Screws L prevent the spring from leaving the pivot. For certain purposes, it can be advantageous to attach the coil springs to short pieces of pipe, which are also attached to the espagnolette rod.
If the invention is applied to windows that close against each other without 1? window post is used, there must be a (fixed or resilient) abutment at the top and bottom of the frame, with which a (fixed or resilient) arm on the espagnolette bar engages, as in Figs in the case of simple windows, on the other hand, such abutments are not required above and below in the frame.
The invention can of course be used with existing espagnolette locks of older designs.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Spring-loaded espagnolette lock for windows, doors and shutters, characterized in that one or more resilient pressure arms (B) of appropriate tension are attached to the espagnolette rod rotatably mounted on a window sash or frame piece or one of the sashes of windows, so that the pressure arm or the pressure arms are attached to the rotation of the rod for the purpose of closing the window etc. are pressed against a fixed abutment or fixed abutment (C) on the frame piece, window sash or the other window sash.
