The invention relates to double locking cylinders with two cylinder cores, on the coupling end faces of which a coupling part is rotatably arranged in recesses, the coupling parts being coupled with a locking nose ring for rotation.
For certain purposes, it is necessary that a double locking cylinder can be locked with the key from both sides, although a key is inserted on the other side and possibly twisted. Locking should be done with the usual normal keys, so no specially equipped emergency key is used. Coupling constructions are already known for such double locking cylinders, whereby one speaks of danger couplings through which the rotary movement of the cylinder cores is transmitted to the locking nose ring.
In a known construction, the coupling consists of two cylindrical coupling parts which are arranged in axial bores of the two cylinder cores and can be displaced in relation to one another in the axial direction. The coupling parts are pressed apart by spring force. The coupling parts can be rotated relative to the cylinder cores, whereas both coupling parts are connected to rotate with the locking nose ring. The coupling parts have slots opposite the associated cylinder cores, into which the key engages with its tip and thus also rotates the coupling and the locking ring when the cylinder core is rotated.
If a key is inserted and twisted from one side, a normal key can be inserted into the locking channel from the other side until the tumbler pins reach the release position. The key tip abuts the end face of the associated coupling part and presses this coupling part against the force of a spring in the direction of the other coupling part. The key can be turned with the cylinder core - for the time being without actuating the locking mechanism - until the key tip is aligned with the slot in the end face of the coupling part and the coupling part is pressed back into the original position under the pressure of the spring, so that the key tip is in it Slot clicks into place.
In this way, the two cylinder cores with the keys inside are connected to each other for rotation, and the lock can be turned from both sides.
A disadvantage of this known construction is that the locking nose ring is not fixed in its position in relation to the cylinder cores if no key is inserted, since the coupling parts must be freely rotatable within the cylinder cores. Another disadvantage of the known constructions described is that the coupling parts have to be made of different lengths depending on the length of the cylinder cores. This makes warehousing complicated and more expensive.
The invention is primarily characterized in that the coupling parts have notches engaging in notches in the cylinder cores. According to the invention, the catches are resilient ball catches or resilient locking pins. According to the invention, the locking recess for the locking pin is extended towards the end face of the cylinder core to form a locking groove. The locking groove has increasing depth towards the end face and the base of the locking groove is designed as a contact surface for the locking pin. According to further characteristics of the invention, the coupling parts are pressed into the recesses of the cylinder cores by spring force and each have an inclined surface on their sides facing the key for engaging the key tip.
Finally, the invention is characterized in that in the area of the key channel, subsequent to the coupling part, an extension bolt which can be displaced by the key tip and which transmits the displacement movement to the coupling part is provided in order to compensate for different cylinder core lengths.
The invention is described below using two exemplary embodiments. 1 shows a central section through the coupling section of a double locking cylinder according to the invention, and FIGS. 2 and 3 show different views of the coupling parts. FIG. 4 shows a central section through a further exemplary embodiment and FIG. 5 shows a view of a coupling part from FIG. 4.

2-len-5, 6- the keys --7 and 8-- are shown partially inserted. In the cylinder cores 3, 4-, the coupling parts - 11, 12-- are arranged in recesses - 9, 10-- on the front.
The recesses and the coupling parts --11, 12-- have a circular cross section in the plane of the end faces, so that the coupling parts can be rotated in their associated recesses.
The coupling parts have coupling extensions --13, 14--, which engage in a recess --15- of the locking nose ring --16--. The locking nose ring --16-- and the two coupling parts --11,12-- are thus coupled together for rotation. The coupling extension --14-- of the coupling part --12-- (see also Fig. 2) is indicated by dashed lines in Fig. 1. A compression spring --17-- holds the two coupling parts-11, 12- resiliently in their left and right end positions within the recesses
2 and 3, a coupling part is shown in two further views. Both coupling parts --11, 12-- have the same shape, which is cheap in terms of production technology and cost.
In Fig. 2 the second coupling part --11-- is shown in the position corresponding to Fig. 1 according to section I-I.
The coupling parts have radial bores --18-- in which spring resilient locking pins --19-- are arranged as detents under pressure from the springs. In the cylinder cores - -3, 4-- there are locking recesses - 21, 22- into which the spherical ends of the resilient locking pins --19-- can snap. In the position of the coupling parts shown, they are therefore locked to the cylinder cores in the manner of ball catches and can only be rotated within the recesses --9, 10-- after a certain torque has been applied.
From the recesses --9, 10-- in the end faces-1, 2- and the associated locking recesses --21 and 22--, locking grooves - 23, 24-- are arranged at an angle to the end faces, the width of these locking grooves is dimensioned so that the locking pins --19-- can penetrate the locking grooves.
The function of the construction according to the invention is explained below with reference to FIG. 1:
From the left, the key --7-- is inserted into the key channel --5--, so that its tip --25-- hits the coupling part --11-- shortly before it is fully inserted. The tumbler pins, of which only one tumbler pin --26-- is shown here, have not yet assumed the release position defined by the key recesses --27--.
When the key --7-- is pushed further into its end position, the coupling part - against the force of the spring --17-- is pushed to the right, whereby the locking pin --19-- under the force of the spring --20-- in the locking groove --23-- penetrates. As soon as the key has reached its end position, all associated tumbler pins are in the release position and the cylinder core --3-- can be turned. The torque is transferred from the key to the cylinder core --3--, via the locking groove --23-- to the locking pin --19--, via the coupling part --11-- and its coupling extension --13-- to the Transfer locking ring --16--.
With the previously described rotary movement of the cylinder core --3--, the right cylinder core --4-- remains uncoupled from the rotary movement, since the coupling part --12--, which also rotates,
EMI2.1
--4-- rotatedcylinder core --3--.
In a dangerous situation, the lock should now be operated from the right with the key --8--. The construction of the right cylinder core is longer, with the key --8-- but the same dimension as the key --7--. To bridge this difference in length, there is an extension bolt --29-- in a bore --28-- in the cylinder core --4--. If the right core --4-- is the same length as the left cylinder core --3--, this extension bolt --29-- is not necessary.
When the key --8-- is inserted into the key channel --6--, its tip --30- pushes against the extension bolt --29--, which transfers the displacement force to the coupling bolt --12--. This causes the coupling part --12-- to move towards the locking nose ring, causing the associated locking pin --19-- to penetrate into the locking groove --24-- and the rotary
