Procedure for the elimination of waste water vapors from gas cleaners.

As is well known, the waste water from the wet gas cleaners (scrubbers) is diverted by water pots, known as templates, which at the same time form a hydraulic closure of the lower cleansing areas. Some of the impurities carried along by the dirty cleaning water are deposited in these water pots, the vapors of which are particularly annoying when the coal contains large quantities of tarry or sulphurous components. To make these annoying gas water smells as harmless as possible for the workers
 EMI1.1
tight seal of the water pots.

However, compliance with these regulations is practically mostly impossible because the pots for the inlet and outlet of the cleaning water must have several openings and also an opening to compensate for the pressure fluctuations occurring in the wet cleaning agent. It can be attributed to this that all gas production facilities deteriorate the air in the engine room to a greater or lesser extent through the evaporation of the waste water.

In order to avoid this inconvenience, in the present invention the water pots of the cleaners are connected to the generator in such a way that with each suction stroke the vapors of the gas waste water are sucked in simultaneously with the steam air mixture and burned in the generator. In doing so, it is permissible to close the water pots very tightly, because during the suction stroke the negative pressure in the cleaners and in the generator occurs simultaneously, as a result of which the water column in the pots, which are connected to these two spaces according to the above, remains in equilibrium. The suction of the water from the pots by the negative pressure occurring in the cleaners, which is often very annoying, is thus avoided in the present invention.

If, in the case of generators with an external evaporator (or preheater), the water pots are set up below this temperature exchanger, it is advantageous to leave the pots open and to encase them together with the preheater. If this jacket space is then connected to the generator, preheated air is sucked into the gas generator at the same time as the gas-water vapors, so that the burning of the harmful vapors is made even easier.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. A method for removing waste water fumes from gas cleaners, characterized in that the fumes from the cleaner water pots are passed through a suction line into the generator and are burned there.
