Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

   The usual ski poles equipped with snow plates have the disadvantage that if the snow plates rub against the slalom poles or other obstacles, there is a risk of the sticks getting stuck, which disturbs the rider's balance and affects the direction of travel and the speed in an uncontrollable manner which can lead to the loss of valuable fractions of a second or the driver to fall. If the sticks are not used when the driver is in a relaxed position and the snow disc grinds on the snow surface, this creates a considerable braking effect. In addition, heavy air turbulences are generated by the usual snow plates during rapid descents or strong winds, which play a role in the driving differences of hundreds of seconds.

   These disadvantages are remedied according to the invention in that on the ski pole, above the snow basket, an umbrella part in the form of a conical jacket or the like is attached, independent of the snow basket and whose base circle or the like has essentially the same diameter as the snow basket.

   The drawings show an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention. Fig. 1 shows the cone at the tip of the stick. Fig. 2 shows the ski stick equipped with the device according to the invention.
 EMI1.1
 --2-- and a cone-shaped umbrella part that is independent of the snow plate - 4 - attached to the ski pole, for example by means of a split pin or screw. The edge of the cone encompasses the snow plate - 3 -, but in such a way that its mobility (about 1 cm in the direction of the ski pole axis) is not hindered.

   For this purpose, the distance between the lower edge of the cone and the outer ring of the snow basket, both in the radial direction and in the direction of the pole axis, can be any suitable; as a rule, a few millimeters are sufficient, i.e. H. the base circle of the cone or the like has essentially the same diameter as the snow plate. The cone shell is advantageously made of rubber or another suitable building material, e.g. B. plastic. The umbrella part, which can also have a different suitable shape, has the effect that the ski stick does not get stuck when it touches the slalom poles or other obstacles and the braking effect of the ski stick that is sharpened is reduced to a minimum. The air resistance is reduced to a minimum due to the streamlined shape of the umbrella part.

   When the stick is inserted, the umbrella part acts like one in addition to the snow plate and reduces its penetration into the snow.
