Der Gegenstand der Erfindung ist nachstehend an Hand eines Ausführungsbeispieles näher erläutert.
Es zeigen Fig. l einen Spiegel mit Befestigung in seitlichem. Schnitt, Fig. 2 eine Vorderansicht des Befe- stigungsfusses in vergrössertem Massstab und Fig. 3 eine Seitenansicht des Befestigungsfusses im Schnitt, im
Massstab der Fig. 2.
Wie aus Fig. 1 ersichtlich, ist am Spiegelrahmen 1 des Innenrückblickspiegels 2, der gleichzeitig auf seiner Rückseite als Nachtspiegel ausgebildet ist, ein kurzer Haltearm 3 angeordnet. Das Ende des Haltearmes 3 ist als Kugel 4 ausgebildet, die im Befestigungsfuss 5 gelagert ist.
Der aus elastischem Material, vorzugsweise elastischem Kunststoff bestehende Befestigungsfuss 5 besitzt eine zentrale kugelige Ausnehmung 7 (Fig. 3), in welche die Kugel 4 des Haltearmes 3 bei der Montage nach Anschrauben des Befestigungsfusses 5 am vorderen Dachrahmen 6 eingedrückt wird.
An die Öffnung 8 der kugeligen Ausnehmung 7 schliesst sich eine Aussparung 9 an, deren Breite geringer ist als der Durchmesser der kugeligen Ausnehmung 7. Der Befestigungsfuss ist weiters mit einer zentral angeordneten, durchgehenden Bohrung 10 zur Aufnahme einer Senkschraube 11 versehen, die nach Eindrücken der Kugel 4 von dieser verdeckt ist.
Die Senkschraube 11 dient der Befestigung des Fusses 5 sowie der Veränderung der Klemmwirkung des Kugelgelenkes. Dazu ist an der Unterseite des Befestigungsfusses 5 eine flache Eindrehung 12 vorgesehen. Ferner befindet sich gegenüber der Aussparung 9 ein Einschnitt 13, durch welchen ein Spannen der Gelenkpfanne durch die Senkschraube 11 ermöglicht ist. Ausserdem ermöglichen der Ein- schnitt 13, die Aussparung 9 und die Ausbildung der Pfanne aus elastischem Kunststoff das Eindrücken der Kugel 4 zur Montage bzw. das Herausspringen bei einem Schlag oderStoss auf den Innenrückblickspiegel. Hiebei drückt die Kugel 4 des Haltearmes 3 auf die Kante 14 der Aussparung 9 des Befestigungsfusses 5 und wird aus dem Befestigungsfuss 5 gelöst.

As can be seen from FIG. 1, a short holding arm 3 is arranged on the mirror frame 1 of the interior rearview mirror 2, which is also designed as a night mirror on its rear side. The end of the holding arm 3 is designed as a ball 4 which is mounted in the fastening foot 5.
The fastening foot 5, made of elastic material, preferably elastic plastic, has a central spherical recess 7 (FIG. 3) into which the ball 4 of the retaining arm 3 is pressed during assembly after the fastening foot 5 is screwed onto the front roof frame 6.
The opening 8 of the spherical recess 7 is followed by a recess 9, the width of which is less than the diameter of the spherical recess 7. The fastening foot is further provided with a centrally arranged, through hole 10 for receiving a countersunk screw 11, which after pressing the Ball 4 is covered by this.
The countersunk screw 11 is used to attach the foot 5 and to change the clamping effect of the ball joint. For this purpose, a flat recess 12 is provided on the underside of the fastening foot 5. Furthermore, opposite the recess 9, there is an incision 13 through which the socket head can be tensioned by the countersunk screw 11. In addition, the incision 13, the recess 9 and the formation of the socket made of elastic plastic enable the ball 4 to be pressed in for assembly or to jump out in the event of a blow or impact on the interior rearview mirror. Here, the ball 4 of the holding arm 3 presses on the edge 14 of the recess 9 of the fastening foot 5 and is released from the fastening foot 5.
