Verfahren zum Stranggiessen von Hohlsträngen
Gegenstand des Stammpatentes Nr. 253153 ist ein Verfahren zum Stranggiessen von Hohlsträngen, insbesondere Rohrluppen, mit Hilfe einer ungefähr senkrecht angeordneten Stranggiesskokille, wobei in bekannter Weise wie beim Giessen voller Stränge flüssige Schmelze dem oberen Ende der Stranggiesskokille zugeführt wird und der aus der Kokille austretende Strang entlang einer zunächst fallenden und hierauf ansteigenden Kurvenbahn bis zu einer Höhe geführt wird, in der ein weiteres Ansteigen des flüssigen Teiles des Stranges nicht mehr erfolgen kann, so dass beim Weitergiessen bzw. Weiterfördern des Stranges das flüssige Metall im Inneren desselben nur bis zur genannten Höhe reicht und der darüber hinaussteigende Strang hohl ist.
Vorzugsweise kann hiefür eine Kreisbogenkokille verwendet und der Strang entlang eines Kreisbogens bis über die Höhe des Giessspiegels geführt werden, worauf er entweder in die Horizontale gebogen oder auch im Aufwärtsgang unterteilt wird.
In weiterer Ausbildung dieses Verfahrens wird vorgeschlagen, den Kreisbogen gemäss Zeichnung mit ungefähr 2700 zu bemessen und den Strang erst nach Durchlaufen dieses Bogens gerade zu richten und in horizontaler Richtung abzuführen. Es hat sicht nämlich herausgestellt, dass einerseits das Trennen des Hohlstranges im Aufwärtsgang mit gewissen Schwierigkeiten verbunden ist und andererseits das Aufbringen einer Biegebeanspruchung die innere Oberfläche des Hohlstranges ungünstig beeinflusst, wenn die Biegebeanspruchung dort aufgebracht ist, wo die Temperatur der inneren Oberfläche nahezu der Erstarrungstemperatur entspricht.

The subject of the parent patent No. 253153 is a process for the continuous casting of hollow strands, in particular tubular blanks, with the help of an approximately vertically arranged continuous casting mold, whereby in a known manner, as when casting full strands, liquid melt is fed to the upper end of the continuous casting mold and the strand emerging from the mold is guided along an initially falling and then rising curved path up to a height at which a further increase in the liquid part of the strand can no longer take place, so that when the strand is poured or conveyed further, the liquid metal inside it is only up to the specified height and the strand rising beyond it is hollow.
A circular arc mold can preferably be used for this and the strand can be guided along an arc to above the level of the pouring level, whereupon it is either bent horizontally or also divided upwards.
In a further development of this method, it is proposed to measure the circular arc according to the drawing with approximately 2700 and to straighten the strand only after passing through this arc and to discharge it in the horizontal direction. It has shown that, on the one hand, the separation of the hollow strand in the upward gear is associated with certain difficulties and, on the other hand, the application of a bending stress has an unfavorable effect on the inner surface of the hollow strand if the bending stress is applied where the temperature of the inner surface almost corresponds to the solidification temperature .
