   Nach dem Verfahren gemäss der Erfindung kann die Prüfung durch Argon-arc-Punktschweissung bereits z. B. am geschmiedeten Knüppel, durchgeführt werden. Das gewährleistet die Ersparung aller nachfolgenden umfangreichen Fertigungsarbeiten an einem Stahl oder einer Legierung, die sich bei der Prüfung als rissempfindlich erweist. 



     In den Figuren sind einige Argon-arc-Schweisspunkte   an austenitischen Stählen gezeigt (bei vierfacher Vergrösserung). Die in Fig. 1 und 2 gezeigten Punkte lassen eine deutliche Rissbildung erkennen, während nach Fig. 3 Rissfreiheit vorliegt. 



   PATENTANSPRÜCHE : 
1. Verfahren zur Prüfung der Warmrissigkeit von austenitischen Stählen und Legierungen, bei welchen schon Proben punktartig angeschmolzen werden, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass diese Proben dem Argon-arc-Punktschweissen unterworfen werden.
