   Das erfindungsgemässe Verfahren zur Erreichung einer freistehenden oder freihängenden kunstharz- beschichteten Schaumstoffauskleidung besteht darin, dass man die einzelnen Platten stumpf aneinander- legt oder aber mit Nut oder Falz an den Stirnflächen verlegt, worauf dann die Fuge mit einer Epoxyd- harzspachtelmasse überstrichen wird, welche vorzugsweise mit flüssigen Polysulfid-Verbindungen, welche mit der Epoxydhärterkomponente reagieren, elastifiziert werden, und ein Deckstreifen, bestehend aus einer   epoxydharzbeschichteten Schaumstoffmatte   mit der gleichen Spachtelmasse aufgeklebt wird.

   Der so fertiggestellte innere Behälter wird hierauf nochmals mit einer Deckschicht Epoxydharz, die vorzugsweise thixotrop und lösungsmittelhaltig ist. eingestellt, bestrichen, wobei diese Deckschicht auf die Platten. auf die Fugenbänder und auf   dieStirnflächen derFugenbänder   gestrichen oder gespritzt wird, so dass eine ho- mogene Schicht die ganze innere Tankwandung überdeckt.

Hiebei wird die Bohrung durch die äussere Tankwandung geführt, nicht aber durch den   5chaumstoffinnenbehälter.   Im senkrechten Teilstück der kommunizierenden Röhre wird, vorzugsweise mit elektromagnetischer Steuerung durch einen even- tuellen Flüssigkeitsspiegel eine optische oder akustische Warnanlage betätigt. Tritt Flüssigkeit in das senkrechte Rohrstück, so zeigt dies automatisch eine Undichtheit des inneren Behälters an.
