Die Größe dieser Behälter wird jedoch durch die Größe der zur Verfügung stehenden Bakelisatoren und noch mehr durch die Transportfähigkeit der fertigen Behälter begrenzt. Die chemische Industrie benötigt- jedoch vielfach noch erheblich größere Behälter, so daß' die Aufgabe besteht, derartige Gefäße am Ort der Aufstellung aus Einzelelementen zusammenzubauen. Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von derartigen Behältern, mit dessen 'Hilfe es möglich ist, Behälter von beliebig großer Abmessung ohne Inanspruchnahme eines Bakelisators derart aus Segmenten anzufertigen, daß die Fugen mit demselben Material zusammengeschweißt werden, aus welchem die einzelnen Segmente bestehen, so daß der fertige Behälter als ein naht- bzw. fugenloses Gefäß zu betrachten ist und genau so große Festigkeit besitzt, als wenn derselbe aus einem Stück angefertigt worden wäre.Process for the production of containers from synthetic resin sheets or Segments It has already been possible to produce containers of very large dimensions, e.g. B. cylindrical Vats up to almost 3 m in diameter and 3 m in height, made of synthetic resins without seams and without To make joints from one piece. Die Kanten der Segmentplatten werden entsprechend dem Patent 466 429 mit Verzahnungen versehen. Die Fuge zwischen den Platten oder Segmenten, die zweckmäßig etwa 2o bis 3o mm breit gewählt wird, wird mit einem gleichen oder ähnlichen noch urgehärteten Kiuistharzgemisch E ausgefüllt, wie zur Herstellung der Segmente benutzt wurde. Man bedeckt nun sämtliche Fugen mit dünnen Kunstharzleisten F, die mit Hilfe eines in der Kälte abbindenden Kunstharzkittes aufgeklebt werden. Die in den Fugen befindliche noch nicht gehärtete Kunstharzmasse befindet sich nunmehr unter völligem Luftabschluß und kann heimnachfolgenden Erhitzen nach keiner Richtung hin ausweichen; der beim Erhitzen entstehende Dampfdruck hält die Masse genau wie in einem Bakelisätor unter Pressung, so daß ein Blasigwerden unmöglich ist, weil iben kein Raum für die Blasenbildung vorhanden ist. Aus diesem Grunde kann man in vorliegendem Fall auf einen Bakelisator beim' Härten verzichten, es genügt, wenn in dem abgedeckten Behälter Warmluft erzeugt oder in ihn hineingeleitet wird (bis etwa mo bis 140' C je nach der Kunstharzsorte), was technisch keine Schwierigkeiten bietet. Nach dem Ausheizen ist der Behälter wie aus einem Stück gewalzt; im Falle eines gewaltsamen Bruches werden niemals die Nähte selber brechen.
