Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 EMI1.1

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 EMI1.1

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

   With the mixtures prepared according to the invention z. B. produce concentrated aqueous solutions that have a sweetness that so far only z. B. was achieved by adding saccharin with its known disadvantages. However, this does not rule out the fact that the cyclamate mixtures according to the invention may also contain small amounts of other artificial sweeteners and / or dietary sweeteners, e.g. B. arabitol or sorbitol, the latter also as a humectant, e.g. B. instead of glycerine, can be added.

   To preserve preparations which contain such cyclamate mixtures, preservatives such as benzoic acid and / or p-oxybenzoic acid ester, e.g. B. their methyl and propyl esters are added.

   Mixtures of dry sodium cycamate and water of crystallization containing mixtures prepared according to the invention
Calcium cyclamate is also distinguished by the fact that it flows very freely and does not adhere and can therefore be processed particularly easily on an industrial scale in the dry state.

   Such cyclamate mixtures are advantageous in preparations of all kinds where certain amounts of liquid are to be present or not to be exceeded and where the increased solubility achieved according to the invention, eg. B. for better penetration of compote fruits, canned fruits and canned fruits as well as in tablet masses or syrups, also generally to achieve increased
Sweetener concentrations, can be exploited.

 ser solved. When cooling to around 20, no crystallization occurs.

   Example 4: 18.0 g sodium cyclamate and 18.0 g calcium cyclamate. 2H2O or 16.5 g calcium cyclamate with a dry content of 100% are just soluble in 98.5 cm3 or 100 cm3 deionized water at around 24 hours.

   The solubility of this cyclamate mixture is around 55% higher than that of the individual components.

   Example 5: 10.0 g of powdered sodium cyclamate and 12.0 g of powdered calcium cyclamate. 2HO (dry content 91.7%) are mixed homogeneously. The mixture obtained has a dry content of 95.45% and, converted to a dry content of 100%, in the important temperature range from 00 to +10, has a solubility that is around 45-40% higher than that of sodium cyclamate.
