clothing of the hollow body 1 is denoted by 5. The swellable hollow body is pressed tightly onto this bellows so that it fills its corrugated folds and with it all over
Length is positively connected. If necessary, these two parts can also be glued to one another. At one end, the bellows 5 is soldered tightly to the base plate 4 and at its other end to the metal plate 6 inserted in the bottom of the hollow body 1. The The electrical conductor system is arranged inside the metallic bellows 5 and can be adjusted by means of the adjusting screw 7.
Of the two connecting lines of the probe, the one labeled 8 is connected to the metallic base plate 4 and the one labeled 9 is passed through the base plate 4 in an insulated manner by means of the insulating seal 10.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, the electrical conductor system consists of the tear wire 11, which is adjustable between the metal plate 6 in the bottom of the swellable hollow body 1 and the adjusting screw 7 in the base plate 4. The adjusting screw here consists of insulating material or it is connected to the tear wire with the insertion of an electrically insulating intermediate piece. At one end, the tear wire is connected in an electrically conductive manner to the connection line 9 and at its other end via the metal plate 6, the metal bellows 5 and the base plate 4 to the connection line 8. To protect against direct contact with the bellows 5 is the
Insulating tube 12 pulled over the tear wire.
If the hollow body 1 stretches due to the swelling occurring during the action of oil, it exerts a tensile force on the tear wire 11, which ultimately tears the tear wire. The circuit of the probe, which was previously closed by the tear wire, is thereby interrupted.
According to FIG. 2, an insulating body 13 is inserted into the bottom of the swellable hollow body 1. on which two contact springs 14 and 15 are attached with contacts 16 and 17 lying opposite one another.
The contact spring 14 is connected to the connection line 8 via the movable line 18 and the metallic base plate 4, and the contact spring 15 is connected to the connection line 9 via the movable line 19. The contact roller 21 is arranged between the two contact springs 14 and 15 on the adjustable metal rod 20 which forms the extension of the adjusting screw 7. For the purpose of better axial guidance, the free end of the metal rod 20 protrudes displaceably into the axial bore 22 of the insulating material body 13 provided for this purpose.
If the hollow molded body 1 stretches as a result of the swelling occurring under the action of oil, the contacts 16 and 17 arranged on the contact springs 14 and 15 are bridged by the contact roller 21 and the previously open circuit of the probe is closed.
Finally, according to FIG. 3, the electrical conductor system of the probe consists of the two contact springs 23 and 24 with the contacts 25 and 26. The contact spring 23 is fastened in the insulating insert 27 of the base plate 4, the contact spring 24 on the one in the bottom of the swellable hollow body 1 attached metal plate 6 attached. The contact spring 23 is guided to the outside in an insulated manner through the insulating insert 27 of the metal base plate, the contact spring 24 is connected to the metal base plate 4 via the metal plate 6 and the bellows 5. The two contacts 25 and 26 are in electrically conductive contact with one another in the idle state. Between the metal plate 6 and the base plate 4, a sufficiently strong holding wire 28 is also stretched out, which prevents the swellable hollow body 1 from being lengthened in the event of the effect of oil.
The hollow body 1 can therefore only bend during the swelling caused by the action of oil, as shown in phantom in FIG. 3 and denoted by 29. During this bending, the contact spring 24 assumes the position 30, also shown in phantom, and the two contacts 25 and 26 are removed from one another. This interrupts the previously closed circuit of the probe. In order to be able to adjust the contact play according to the respective requirements, the retaining wire 28 is attached to the adjusting screw 7. 3 simultaneously shows an encapsulated installation of the probe shown in FIGS. 1-3, which protects the probe against external pressure without preventing the oil from accessing the swellable molded body.
For this purpose, the cup 31 is screwed onto the base plate 4 of the probe on one side and the cup 32 on the other side. These cups must be sufficiently pressure-resistant. They can be made of metal or plastic. The cup 31 covering the hollow body 1 is provided with holes 33 for the passage of oil. The cup 32 has a central bore 35, sealed by a stuffing box 34, for the connection of the electrical cable 36. Except for the oil containers described, the probe according to the invention is also suitable for monitoring oil lines or oil-filled electrical cables point by point. Such punctiform monitoring of such oil-carrying pipes or cables may be sufficient under certain circumstances if they are laid in suitable channels or channels, at the lowest point of which escaping oil collects.
