Fals chzwirnvorrichtung

False twisting device
In patent no. 197250 a false twisting device with a rotating tube and a driving device for the thread is disclosed, which consists of a cylinder made of hard material which is fastened to one end of the tube, is transversely to this and is provided with a longitudinal bore for the thread, the part of which facing away from the tube is exposed.
In this false twisting device, a thread, which is guided through the rotating tube and then through and over the cylinder to a discharge device, must be brought into its correct path and held in its correct path before false twisting. The tension is necessary to prevent the thread from slipping in the wrong path as soon as the wrong twine begins. The consequence of this could namely be that the thread wraps around parts of the rotating tube instead of the cylinder and cuts these parts in the process. This cutting would not only destroy the false twinning device, but also the risk of thread breakage due to the thread sliding over sharp, cut edges.
However, the disadvantages mentioned can also occur during false twinning if a small disturbance occurs.
So z. B. a short tension reduction in the thread have the consequence that it is thrown out of its normal path by the rapid rotation and then remains in the new path. A situation can then also arise in which the thread partially wraps around the rotating tube. These disadvantages are eliminated by the construction of the false twining spindle according to the invention.
This invention consists in the fact that the wall thickness of the curved parts of the end of the tube comprising the cylinder decreases continuously towards the exposed lateral surface of the cylinder.
This ensures that the thread, which may move from its normal position around the cylinder, very soon returns to its normal position, because the curved surfaces, which in this case serve as a support for the thread, encourage the thread to slip back into its normal position.
Furthermore, the invention provides a considerable saving in time when starting up the false twisting spindle. The requirement to insert the thread under tension and to keep it under tension until the thread twining itself has started is no longer necessary. It is sufficient for the thread to be guided through and over the cylinder in a slack condition and to be fed to the removal device. During normal operation, the thread line vox corrects itself until the thread runs in the correct path.
The description on the basis of a drawing serves to explain the invention, in which, for example, an embodiment of the false twisting spindle according to the invention is shown; the drawing shows a sectional view of the device according to the invention.
1 with a stationary body is referred to, with the help of which the false twisting device can be attached to the frame of a machine, not shown. This body 1 is provided with a bore 2 in which a rotating tube 3 is mounted with the aid of ball bearings 4 and 5. This pipe 3 is

provided with a longitudinal bore 6 and a part 7 protrudes from the stationary body 1. The protruding part 7 is designed on the outside as a pulley and runs from the end of the axial

ner cylinder 9 made of hard material z. B. fastened by putty which is provided with a drilling 10.
The outer delimitation of the extension style 8 extends in such a way that the wall thickness of the curved parts of the end of the tube 8 comprising the cylinder 9 decreases continuously towards the exposed lateral surface of the cylinder.
When this false twisting device is put into operation, a thread 11, which is fed from a conventional twisting nipping point not specified in the drawing, is first drawn through the bore 6 of the tube 3 and then twice through the bore 10, so that the looping of the Zy-

device forwarded.
The thread 11 is drawn in a path which it can perhaps get into if it is pulled through the bore 10 without tension. If the thread removal device is now started, the thread is first pulled taut and then transported in the direction of the arrow.
It can then be seen that the thread 11 is pulled in the direction of the curved arrow over the bridge-shaped extension piece 8 until only the cylinder 9 is wrapped around.
