Schornsteinaufsatz.
Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Schornsteinaufsatz, dessen Unterteil mit den bekannten seitlichen, den Ranch ansangendfn Kanälen versehen ist. Die besonderen Merkmale des neuen Aufsatzes sind ein auf den Unterteil aufgesetztes Dach und eine innerhalb desselben befindliche Zwischenwand, welche beide infolge ihrer Form und Anordnung der Rauchahzugsöffnung des Dacbes selbst das Eindringen der von höheren Gebäuden zurückschlagenden Luft in den Schornstein verhüten, so dass der Abzug des Rauches, auch wenn sich der Aufsatz auf einem sehr ungünstigen Standpunkt befindet, ohne Behinderung stattfindet.
In der Zeichnung zeigt Fig. 1 einen Aufriss des Schornsteinaufsatzes im Schnitt nach Linie A-B der Fig. 4 ; Fig. 2 dasselbe nach Linie C-D der Fig. 4 : Fig. 3 stellt einen

Wie aus den Darstellungen ersichtlich ist, befindet sich auf dem mit den seitlichen

an den beiden anderen Seiten sind Öffnungen f vorgesehen, um den aus den Kanälen a aufsteigenden Wind mitsamt dem Rauch nach au (3en abzuführen. Durch die Form des Daches und der Zwischenwand bezw. Anordnung der Rauchabzugsöffnungcn des Daches wird erreicht, dass der das Dach d bezw. die Zwischenwand e treffende Wind. gleichgiltig von welcher Richtung derselbe kommt, den Rauch nicht nach unten drückt, vielmehr dessen Abzug noch beschleunigt. Kommt z. B. auf Fig. 3 bezogen, der Wind von rechts oder links, so kann der Rauch unten bezw. oben (in Fig. 3) ohne Behinderung austreten.
Kommt der Wind von oben oder unten (in Fig. 3), dann streicht er ohne weiteres durch die Öffnungen durch und erhöht die Saugwirkung dos durch die Kanäle a aufsteigenden Windes.
Dieselben Vorgänge spielen sich ab, wenn der Wind in der Richtung der Linie A-. B be- /iehungswt'ise < -/) der Fig. 3 das Dach bezw. die Zwischenwand trifft, so dass in allen

Chimney top.
The subject of the invention is a chimney attachment, the lower part of which is provided with the well-known lateral channels that are used in the Ranch. The special features of the new attachment are a roof placed on the lower part and a partition wall located inside it, both of which, due to their shape and arrangement of the flue opening of the roof itself, prevent the air from higher buildings from penetrating into the chimney, so that the extraction of the Rauches, even if the essay is in a very unfavorable position, takes place without hindrance.
