Teppichnagel.
Den Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung bildet ein Teppichnagel, welcher gegenüber den bis jetzt bekannten Teppichnägeln den Vorteil grösserer Haltbarkeit und auch bequeerer Handhabung hat.
Bei den bisher verwendeten Teppichnägeln kam es häufig vor, dass beim Drauftreten der Kopf des Nagels abbrach, besonders wenn der Nagel nicht genau senkrecht eingeschlagen war, ferner war das Herausziehen derselben schwierig und ohne Beschädigung des Teppichs fast unmöglich. Auch konnte der Kopf beim Herausziehen des Nagels sehr leicht verbogen oder abgebrochen werden.
Diese Übelstände sind mit der vorliegenden Erfindung beseitigt, indem der Kopf des Nagels beweglich am Nagelschaft angeordnet wird, so dass ein Verbiegen oder Abbrechen des Kopfes ausgeschlossen ist. Ferner ist der Kopf des Nagels von einer derartigen Form, dass das Herausziehen leicht und ohne Beschädigung des Teppichs möglich ist.
In der Zeichnung ist ein derartiger Teppichnagel der Deutlichkeit wegen in übernatürlicher Grösse dargestellt, und zwar in Fig. 1 in Seitenansicht, in Fig. 2 und 3 im Längsschnitt, in Fig. 4 in Draufsicht.
Der linsenförmige, hohle, aus zwei Blechscheiben hergestellte Kopf J'ist auf seiner Unterseite mit einer Öffnung 2 versehen, durch welche der Schaft 3 des Nagels in das Innere hineinragt. Eine an dem Schaft 3 vorgesehene Verdickung 4, deren Durchmesser grösser ist, als derjenige der Öffnung 2, verbindet den Schaft 3 mit dem Kopf 1, so dass das Herausfallen des Schaftes unmöglich ist. Durch diese Anordnung wird, wie aus Fig. 3 ersichtlich, eine grosse Beweglichkeit des Kopfes erzielt und wird, wenn der Nagel in schräger Richtung eingeschlagen wurde, der Kopf trotzdem sich stets horizontal und an allen Stellen gleichmässig an den Teppich anlegen.
Ausserdem kann der Nagel, infolge der konvexen Untorfäche seines Kopfes leicht und ohne Beschädigung des Teppichs heraus- gezogen werden und ist hiebei ein Verbiegen oder Abbrechen des Kopfes ausgeschlossen.

Carpet nail.
The subject matter of the present invention is a carpet nail which, compared to the carpet nails known up to now, has the advantage of greater durability and also easier handling.
With the carpet nails used up to now, it often happened that the head of the nail broke off when stepping on, especially if the nail was not driven in exactly vertically, and pulling it out was difficult and almost impossible without damaging the carpet. The head could also be bent or broken off very easily when the nail was pulled out.
These inconveniences are eliminated with the present invention in that the head of the nail is movably arranged on the nail shaft, so that bending or breaking of the head is excluded. Furthermore, the head of the nail is of such a shape that it can be pulled out easily and without damaging the carpet.
In the drawing, such a carpet nail is shown in a supernatural size for the sake of clarity, namely in FIG. 1 in side view, in FIGS. 2 and 3 in longitudinal section, in FIG. 4 in plan view.
The lenticular, hollow head J ′ made from two sheet metal disks is provided on its underside with an opening 2 through which the shaft 3 of the nail protrudes into the interior. A thickening 4 provided on the shaft 3, the diameter of which is greater than that of the opening 2, connects the shaft 3 to the head 1, so that the shaft cannot fall out. With this arrangement, as can be seen from FIG. 3, a great mobility of the head is achieved and, if the nail has been driven in at an angle, the head will nevertheless always lie horizontally and evenly on the carpet at all points.
In addition, because of the convex undersurface of its head, the nail can be pulled out easily and without damaging the carpet, and the head cannot be bent or broken off.
