Nail, hook or the like with barbs on the shaft.

The invention relates to a novelty on nails, hooks or the like, namely on such nails etc. which are provided with barbs which prevent the nail from being loosened and pulled out. In nails of this type, the barbs, especially when they are arranged at several heights on top of each other, when hammering into wood or the like.

In order to eliminate this disadvantage, according to the invention, projections are provided directly above these barbs in axial planes lying between them, which projections close again the paths produced by the barbs.

In the drawing, a nail according to the invention is shown and zwa. Fig. 1 shows a view and Fig. 2 shows a cross section.

On the shaft a of the nail of any shape and size, one or more barbs b are provided in a known manner which prevent the driven nail from being pulled out. According to the invention, in the axial planes lying between the barbs b on the shaft of the nail, preferably above the barbs, projections c are arranged, which push the wood pushed to the side by the barbs b back into the paths caused by them. The latter are closed again, so that the nail has a completely secure hold.

In the example shown, the shaft of the nail has a conical shape, as is the case with the large, for connecting heavy beams and the like. Like. Serving nails is the case. With such a design it was particularly difficult to create a safe hall for the nail. The innovation can also be applied to nails and the like. Use the like with a straight cylindrical shaft.
