Description
The invention relates to a rail anchor from a base rod, which at one end is bent like a hook and here includes the top and bottom of the rail foot and wherein this hook is designed so that it is at a substantial distance from the top of the rail foot from its edge. The main body of this rail anchor extends across the underside of the rail foot and is at the end opposite the hook with a Provided nose that includes the edge on the other side of the rail foot to thereby the anchor secure in position on the rail. These rail anchors are attached to the rail in that way created, dal! on the outside of the hook blows with a hammer or the like in order to thereby drive the end of the hook up onto the sloping surface of the rail foot, see above that then the nose at the other end can encompass the opposite side of the rail foot. Because the end of the hook engages the surface of the rail foot at a distance from its edge, remains between the hook and the surface of the rail foot at their edge a considerable gap. This gap is important as the hook rests on the underside of the rail foot to a certain extent forms a fulcrum, the end of the hook acting as a lever arm for pivoting of the rail anchor is used around this pivot point when the end of the hook on the inclined

Bei EinhaltungWhen using this type of rail anchor, it is essential that the hammer against the Anchor-guided blows hit this at the level of the rail foot, whereby the force exerted in must be horizontal. With compliance
These rail anchors are different in size and shape dimensioned so that they are firmly attached to the associated rail foot, the hook when applied to the rail, yields sufficiently resiliently to prevent it from breaking off.
Es hat sich herausgestellt, daß diese bekannten Anker jedoch immer noch leicht beim Aufziehen aufIt has been found that these known anchors, however, are still easy to pull up

S5 bogen, wodurch der Haken übermäßig aufgebogen wird und sein Federungsvermögen, das ihn an der Schiene hält, verliert.S5 flexed causing the hook to flex excessively and loses its resilience that holds it to the rail.
The invention relates to a new design of a rail anchor that provides the greatest possible security offers that the anchor is hit when pulling on a rail so that the blows lie in the horizontal direction, and hit him at such a point at which blows the run in an oblique direction, be deflected in a horizontal direction of force, so that an excessive Deformation of the hook is avoided. For this purpose, the anchor is on the outer arch of the The hook is provided with a flat striking surface, which not only provides the exact point of attachment for the Hammer characterized, but by which also essentially the direction of the impact is read. When the ball head of a hammer hits a flat surface, like this flat surface the hook of the anchor, this impact is planted in the anchor essentially in a horizontal direction Direction, with only a small downward component appearing even if the hammer head has a downward impact direction at the moment of impact.
Accordingly, according to the invention, a rail anchor with a hook bent on one side the curved outside is clearly flattened at one point, this flattening being perpendicular to the rail foot on which the anchor is to be extended.
Es zeigtThe invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings. It shows

The anchor 11 to be drawn onto the rail 10 l> consists of a base body 12 with a one-sided bent Hook 13. The hook 13 forms an upper and a lower clamping surface on the rail arm 15, with which the hook comprises the rail foot 16 from above and below. The anchor is functional Shaped from a T-iron for maximum strength and stiffness, with the vertical Rib 18 expediently lies in the middle between the two legs 19 and 20.
As can be seen from Fig. 2, the upper clamping end 14 of the hook is in such Distance from the lower clamping surface 15 so that only the edge of the rail foot 16 intervenes can, provided no force is used to pull the anchor. To pull up the Anchor on the rail, the anchor is initially loosely attached to the rail according to FIG. 3, whereupon then the anchor expediently by striking the end 13 of the hook (Fig. 4) against the rail is advanced. As a result, the upper jaw 14 moves on the sloping top of the Rail foot upwards, whereby the hook is resiliently bent. As soon as the anchor is his has reached the right end position on the rail, a nose 21 snaps at the free end of the Body 12 around the edge 22 of the other side of the rail foot, whereby the anchor is firmly attached to the Rail foot is held.
The dimensions of the rail anchor and the steel used for its manufacture are selected so that that under normal conditions when pulling the anchor onto a rail foot at the transition in the position according to FIG. 3 in that according to FIG. 2, the armature does not have any undue stresses is subject, so that the armature in its end position according to FIGS. 1 and 2 is extremely solid sits on the rail foot. However, this result depends to some extent on the type of blows which are used to drive the armature into the end position. These punches must hit the anchor in an approximately horizontal direction, otherwise the hook may not bend open enter. The rail anchor is used to achieve this horizontal impact direction as far as possible provided on the outside of the hook 13 with a clear striking surface 24, so that the worker can easily see where to start the blow. This club face is expediently designed flat and lies on the outer curve of the web 18. This is this The striking surface is oriented and is perpendicular to the side surfaces of the anchor body and the hook at the same time at right angles to the anchor body. When the ball head of a hammer hits The large force component is diverted in the horizontal direction onto this striking surface 24. This also applies if the blow is directed downwards at an angle, as in this case

die nach unten gerichteten Kräfte keine Neigung haben, die obere Klemmbacke 14 nach unten gegen die Ol)erseite des Schienenfußes abzubiegen.the downward forces have no tendency to oppose the upper jaw 14 downward to bend the oil side of the rail foot.
Since a strong, downward blow on the anchor makes it suitable for use on a its size corresponding rail can make useless, and since the leadership of such blows can be prevented by making an impact area identifiable, the arrangement of this comes into play flat impact surface directed perpendicular to the anchor body is of considerable importance for the correct mounting of the rail anchors and their good press fit, as this is the only way the anchor can fulfill its task of preventing longitudinal movement of the rail.
