Standing water tube boiler for generating superheated steam.
EMI1.1
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The fire gases, which to achieve smoke-free combustion through bores 9 in the upper, annularly drawn-in part of the firebricks forming the furnace, are supplied with upper air, which can be regulated by register flaps h of a known type, rise between the water pipes and are through built-in deflectors i and Hollow bodies j pressed outwards against the wall of the fire box, so that they are forced to make a longer way to the flue pipe and give off as much of their heat as possible to the water pipes and the fire box wall.
The precipitates that collect at the deepest point of the water space are removed by draining devices of a suitable type, which are arranged in the sealing ring riveted to the bottom of the fire box.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Standing water pipe boiler for generating superheated steam, characterized in that the ends of the knee-shaped bent water pipes arranged inside the fire box are on the one hand extended at their confluence with the ceiling of the fire box, so that they reach into the steam room, on the other hand at their Confluence near the deepest point of the water space of the boiler, for the purpose of achieving an accelerated speed of the water in the tubes caused by the constriction, so that rapid evaporation takes place, whereby the counterflow of the water through the upper extensions prevents overheating of the formed steam allows.
2. In a boiler of the type specified under 1, the arrangement of a furnace below the extendable boiler, which consists of refractory, annularly drawn-in stones above, which are provided with openings for the introduction of regulated amounts of upper air above their intake.
