Den Gegenstand der Erfindung bildet ein Schiffskessel mit Überhitzer, bei dem die zu Undichtigkeiten Anlaß gebenden Stehbolzen nach Möglichkeit vermieden sind. Derartige Schiffskessel sind bereits bekannt, und zwar sind bei ihnen die Heizrohre, das Flammrohr und die Feuerkiste von einem runden Mantel umgeben. Das Wesen der vorliegenden Erfindung besteht nun darin, daß die wagerecht liegenden Außenmäntel zylindrisch bis zu dem Diagonalstoß mit dem senkrecht stehenden Außenmantel durchgeführt sind, wodurch besondere Deckel vermieden werden. Ferner werden bei diesem Kessel die Heizgase den zwischen den wagerechten Außenmänteln liegenden Uberhitzerröhren durch Querrohre zugeführt. Außerdem werden die Heizgase so geführt, daß sie nach dem Verlassen des Überhitzers noch Kesselheizfläche berühren.The subject of the invention forms a ship's boiler with superheater, in which the to Leaks giving rise to stud bolts are avoided as far as possible.
