Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Tinder-proof resistance and building material.
The patent no.158386 protects against high temperatures, scale-resistant resistance and building material, consisting of a well-known ore-free alloy, which contains one or more of the metals iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, possibly additions of other metals and also thorium in amounts of contains about 2 to 6% of the total alloy. Due to their thorium content, such alloys have a considerably greater resistance to scaling than alloys with a corresponding composition but without thorium.
As has been found, the increase in scale strength is achieved even in the presence of thorium in amounts of less than 2% of the total alloy.
To improve the scale resistance of the alloys z. B. already thorium additions of 2 to 0'5% and less.
The invention offers the advantage that the resistance and building material contains smaller amounts, possibly considerably smaller amounts, of expensive thorium and nevertheless has equally good scale resistance. In addition, there is the advantage that alloys with less thorium are usually better mechanically processable than those with high thorium content.
