on the other hand, it only absorbs part of the red rays contained in the violet, while it lets through the pure blue rays. The baseband of the spectrum is darkened somewhat by this filter, yellow and red are allowed through.
If a panchromatic film is used for the recording, the negative images filtered by Al differ only very little in terms of brightness values from the negative images filtered by the filter All. Surprisingly, you still get a reproduction in natural
EMI2.1
For the partial images P1, P "P,... Filtered by A1, the band W consistently has rich red-brown display filters WI, which completely absorb the area from 400 to 540 iizfj, from the area from approximately 540 to 560 m only dark green and Beyond about 560 m all rays of the

which, like the corresponding positive band, is characterized by surprisingly low contrasts between the successive partial images.
This low contrast results in an extremely good merging of the partial images in reproduction I.
Despite the use of a filter band with only two filter colors during recording and reproduction, the new method allows not only all primary colors but also their mixed colors and finally pure white to be reproduced. The blue results from the weaker light penetration of the filter, the red results from the weaker transmission through the filter WI, while the yellow results from a stronger transparency of this last-mentioned filter.
Green results from a stronger transparency of the filter Wound, a subsequent or previous weaker transparency of JV II. Violet results from a mean transmission of tfj and a subsequent or preceding stronger transmission of WII. The degree of transparency of these filters is always determined by the degree of blackening of the associated filter
Positive image.
But you can use the positive film or a negative film, which see in the known way (through
Reversal) can be transformed into a positive film (reversal film ") with the elimination of the display filter also by coloring its partial images in the appropriate colors (rich red-brown and thin, light blue) in natural colors for reproduction.
A particular advantage of the recording and playback method according to the invention is that the positive film (the "reversal film") can be kept very bright, which, in combination with the use of relatively thin filters with relatively weaker light sources, is sufficient for playback.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. A method for producing series picture films for reproduction in the natural colors using multi-color, preferably two-color filters, which are switched synchronously with the picture film tape, characterized in that the consistently uniform color of each of the fields to be held alternately for the picture film The color filter is designed in such a way that, in addition to the basic colors of the spectrum, it also lets through colors from various other spectral regions, so that on each
Film image the different colors of the recorded object are well drawn, where-
